Replaced my old router with this and it was as easy as plug and play.
It comes with a genie app that leaves a lot to wish for. Don't even bother using the app. Just connect to your router the old-fashioned way by using a browser window coz every change you make will take more than a minute to complete. That's if the app doesn't hang up on you.
Forget about the app (that I'm sure will be developed to be better), this router is perfect.
Gives me guest access, is as fast as advertised and everything a modern router should do.

If your arris device is just a modem, then connecting this belkin will simply route that signal wirelessly (hence, giving you wifi).
