I had a great set of LG bluetooth headphones that i needed to replace b/c my pet chewed through one of the wires. I had planned on purchasing an identical set, but got sidetracked when i saw the plantronics sleek wire-only design. I looked at some reviews on line, and they we pretty solid somehow-I think most tech site reviewers were only comparing them to the previous version of plantronics bt headphones, not the market as a whole. Unfortunately, i took them on vacation and by time I got back i was past the return/exchange window.
Compared to the LGs i had previously, the plantronics are terrible! The LGs can go 2-3 days of fairly heavy use without requiring a charge; these plantronics cannot make it through a single day of casual use. I could stop using the LGs and not worry about shutting them off-the auto off after x minutes of non use was sufficent. With the LGs, ive gotten into the habit of immediately rushing to switch them off each time i stop listening to music, b/c each second of saved battery life is critical. Additionally, if you buy these, do not expect them to stay in your ears. Ive tried every set of ear plugs included, and adjusted the ear holder things a thousand times-they always fall out within a couple of minutes. And ear fit is crucial with these headphones, as plantronics stresses repeatedly that a snug fit is necessary for quality bass. Even with the plugs all the way in the quality is negligible. I didnt find them better or worse than nearly any other in ear headphones ive used, both wired and bt.
Im not trying to pitch for LG, its just the only other set of bt headphones ive used, and really had no complaints other than the plastic around neck casing being occasionally annoying, which is what attracted me to the plantronics. I will probably end up re-buying the LGs anyway, and writting these off as a loss. DO NOT BUY!!
