Torras - Coolify Cyber Wearable Air Conditioner 6000mAh - Cascade Black
I saw someone wearing this at Disney World and thought it was a great idea for travel in warm places, but I got one for myself for more mundane reasons. I love to garden, but hate to be sweaty while doing it. In the same way, I thought using it while mowing the lawn on a hot day would be much more bearable.
The Coolify Cyber seemed like the ideal solution. It’s light, easy to use, and can run for two plus hours in cooling mode without needing a recharge. Heating mode runs for three to 4.5 hours, and fan only mode can run for more than 15 hours! Also, with the USB-C connection, it can charge to 80% in a little over an hour.
Before taking it outside for a trial run, I downloaded the Torras Coolify app. At first I thought it might be superfluous, since the device only has two buttons: one for on/off and one for mode adjustment. But once the unit was around my neck, I quickly came to appreciate how easy it was to control the device using the app. You can power the unit on and off, select the heat/cool mode, the fan speed, which parts of the unit move air (front, back, or both), and even set a “favorite” for repeat usage. There’s also an AUTO setting, that calculates optimal usage based on your body temperature and the surrounding air temperature. Finally, you can set a timer for how long you want it to run, although I couldn’t think of a good use for that! :P
I was excited to try the Coolify Cyber out as I was prepping the garden this year. I was initially concerned it would be too heavy - totally not a concern. After turning it on, I practically forgot it was there. It fits very comfortably, didn’t shuffle around, and didn’t impede my movement in any way. It kept me comfortable for 90 minutes of gardening and would have lasted longer if I could have!

Philips Sonicare DiamondClean Smart 9300 Black
I’ve been using Philips electric toothbrushes for over 15 years now, and my visits to the dentist have shown me how well they work. My hygienist *always* comments on how good my teeth look and how good my “self care” is. I haven’t had a cavity in all that time.
Alas, nothing lasts forever, so when I had to replace my older Philips toothbrush, I chose the DiamondClean Smart 9300. It has all the features I’ve known and loved for years, plus some new ones. It comes with two different brush heads - a plaque fighting and whitening head and a premium brush that also aids in gum care. The toothbrush handle recognizes the type of brush you put on it and adjusts its motion accordingly.
New for me is the brushing feedback app. I thought after (many) decades of brushing my teeth, there was not a lot that an app could teach me about getting my teeth clean, but I was wrong! The app pointed out areas that I was neglecting because I use only my right hand to hold the toothbrush. When I switched hands as I switched sides in my mouth, I actually improved my technique.
I’ve been told by my dentist to use a soft brush and not to press too hard when I brush. The DiamondClean 9300 helps with both. The brushes are all considered “soft” and the handle detects if you are using too much pressure by giving a little “buzz” feedback that you can feel and a light on the bottom of the handle that you can see. It’s easy to know when your you’re using too much force.
Although the 9300 has a two year warranty, I’ve found they last considerably longer. Some years ago, I had one that failed within the warranty period, and I was very happy with the Customer Service at Philips. They were polite, professional, and immediately sent me a replacement via FedEx.

Aqara - FP2 Presence Sensor - White
I really like that the Aqara Fp2 motion sensor uses radar instead of infrared, like so many similar products and that it doesn’t require a hub. I’m sure that’s why it’s a little higher cost, but it also makes it much more accurate and consistent. It can detect up to five people at the same time and you can set up to 30 different zones within the detected areas — think adjusting lighting as you move around in the space.
It was easy to set up with the Aqara app, although the entire setup does take a little time. Once it’s done, it seems to be totally hands off. This is great for a second home or just security, in general, but I also like the fact that it can be mounted on the ceiling and used as a fall detection device. This is great for monitoring seniors living on their own, without the privacy issues that camera systems present. With its IPX5 waterproof rating, you can even use it for fall detection in a bathroom. I may be getting another one for my mother-in-law’s place!
The sensor is designed for serious automation, if desired. You can use it to adjust the heat, turn on and off lights and appliances when it detects people, and adjust automatic blinds based on occupancy.

Over the years, I’ve tried a number of smart locks — all had their pros and cons. The Aqara Smart Lock 100 comes closest to being the best for a number of reasons. First, it works with a wide variety of systems including Apple HomeKit, Alexa, Google Home and others. Much of my home automation works with Apple HomeKit, so I can really only speak to using the lock with this.
Installing the lock is simple with a few screws, assuming you have a relatively modern wooden door with standard offsets. The instructions are straightforward and I had the entire lock installed in about 15 minutes. Setup was also easy and the lock quickly connected to my home network.
I got this lock together with the Aqara video doorbell and really like how the two are integrated to work together. When the doorbell rings, I can see who’s there and unlock the door if I like!
The lock comes with two NFC fobs, a fingerprint reader, and a pair of standard keys (hopefully never needed!) I can also program up to 50 different fingerprints. The fingerprint reader is easy to use and extremely accurate. The response time is also very fast. The biometric fingerprint data is only stored locally, so there is no fear of over sharing your sensitive information.
Setting the lock up with Apple HomeKit allows me easy entry with my iPhone or Apple Watch. You can also create passcodes for frequent visitors, or even one-time use. You can adjust them for specific dates and times, for example, to allow access for your house cleaners on given days and times.
The lock uses four AA alkaline batteries and is supposed to last for eight months. We’ll see if that holds up.

Aqara G4 Smart Video Doorbell - Black
I got the Aqara Smart Video Doorbell together with the Aqara Smart Lock and I’m very pleased with how well they work together. It’s easy to unlock the door after verifying the identity of someone at the door.
The system can work with Google Home, Alexa, or my preference, Apple HomeKit. Although Aqara devices don’t need an additional subscription service to store video from the camera, I do have an iCloud account. The camera saves up to seven days of video data to my iCloud account.
This video doorbell can be used with batteries, but I used my existing doorbell wiring to make a permanently powered connection. Installing the doorbell took only a few minutes and connecting it to my Apple HomeKit took even less.
The video image itself is sharp and clear, at 1080p and the audio from your voice can be disguised using one of four presets. “Uncle” and “Robot” are cool, but I’m not sure I would ever use “Clown.” :)
The indoor speaker/repeater is plenty loud to alert you and can also be used to identify other problems like glass breakage and water leaks, when properly configured with other Smart Home devices.

I really like using my Apple Pencil, both for drawing and design, but also just as a stylus for everyday work. What I didn’t realize is that the tip wears out but is easily replaceable. The Insignia brand (BestBuy’s in-house store brand) is almost always equal to, or better than the original manufacturer’s and this is true with these tips. They are indistinguishable in color, feel, and usage from the original Apple tips, but much more affordable.
Given a pack of four, I can share them with my wife and still have plenty of “drawing miles” for myself. Changing the tips is a simple task: just unscrew the old one and screw on the new one. The color is a perfect match to the original. I was surprised at the performance improvement, partly because I hadn’t realized how my old tip had worn — it is several years old.
These would also make a thoughtful gift for any Apple Pencil user; something they may not think to get for themselves.

I don’t think of myself as a “birder.” I don’t keep diaries or go on “birding” expeditions, but I love to watch and feed the birds. I know a good number of the types of birds we see in my area but certainly not all of them. I also am a practiced photographer.
Recently, I set up my camera with a long lens and tripod to try and capture the cute yellow birds that were visiting our sunflowers over the summer. I had to wait for them to show up and took over 100 stills. Of these, I think I got three that I considered good enough to share.
Well, enter the Bird Buddy! It not only feeds the birds, but uses AI to take only the best pictures. It can even identify the birds, which I found amazingly accurate as well as informative.
The feeder comes in eco-friendly packaging, is simple to set up, and with the solar roof, pretty much maintenance free. Of course, you do have to fill it with seed.
When I set up my Bird Buddy, I kept checking the app, but saw nothing for two or three days. That’s when the birds found it and I started getting pings that they were posing for photos. I’m very impressed with both the quality of the feeder and the quality of the photos and video it produces. So often, the birds literally look like they’re posing for the camera! The AI features really do take excellent photos, with a much better success ratio than I had with my yellow bird efforts!
I figured feeding the birds and taking pictures of them was more than sufficient for this product, but it clearly has higher aims! You can share your pictures, of course, but you can also see pictures from other Bird Buddies across the globe. It was such a nice surprise to be able to check out birds from places like Hawaii and Europe.
I would highly recommend getting the solar roof, as it allows continuous usage without the need to remove the camera and recharge it — something I wouldn’t love in the wintertime.
The only (small) issue I’d mention is the fill door on the back is a little difficult to open. This would also be a problem in the cold, but my workaround was to just add a little loop using an electrical tie and that took care of it. You can also just fill the tray directly but you’ll need to do that more often.

My very first robot vacuum was a Roomba and I remember being so happy that it did the drudge work of vacuuming for me that I really didn’t mind its random wandering or the fuss of cleaning it. But that was almost five years ago, and I’ve tried a number of different robot vacuums from Roomba and other makers during those years.
I’ve been impressed with the improvements in mapping, ease of cleaning, and general progress in making these devices more effective and, at the same time, quieter and easy to care for.
That’s why I was so excited to get this new Roomba that was self-emptying and was even able to damp mop floors.
Unboxing and setup was quick and easy. I was ready to map out my main floor in minutes. The resulting map was disappointing. I have a pretty open main floor with a front living room, a center kitchen and dining room, and a rear great room. Whereas I can say that it’s easy to think of some of the spaces as free-flowing, the mapping software thought I had eight rooms! I had to spend some time combining and reorganizing the map. I found the map editing features to be clumsy and difficult to use, but eventually made a useful map that both I and the Roomba could understand. After recharging, I sent it on its way, and it did a very good job of vacuuming.
I was disappointed at how loud it was. In fact, I stopped it twice to see if something was stuck in it or had come loose. I really didn’t think it sounded right! My old Roomba had become noisy with age, so I was looking forward to a new, quieter experience, but it was almost as loud. I’ve seen some complaints about the sound level of the self-emptying feature, which is a momentary “whooshing” sound as the base unit sucks debris from the robot, but I’m ok with that! It’s short and sounds very thorough. Ninety minutes of constant droning is really too much. I’ve convinced myself that the noise is the result of superior vacuuming and set the schedule to clean when I don’t have to listen to it.
I do have some positive things to say. The self emptying feature is great! I have dust allergies, so cleaning and emptying my old Roomba was always a problem. Not only am I freed from daily emptying, but the base unit uses disposable bags that seal themselves shut when you remove them. So much less dust to be breathing! Each bag can last up to 60 days (with the disclaimer that 30 days may be more typical if you have pets).
Sadly, my final comment is in regard to the mopping feature. It’s difficult to use, and not very effective. If you have carpeted areas you have to direct it to specific bare floor areas where it, unfortunately, doesn’t do a very good job. As a time-saving device, it’s just more work than it’s worth.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

With the switch to USB-C, more and more of my power blocks are made for this standard, but my current iPhone continues to require a Lightning connection. This cable seems like a perfect addition.
I’ve always liked Insignia products for their quality and affordability. This cable is no different! It’s well made, durable and such a great replacement for the plastic coated cable that’s been slowly disintegrating in my car.
The braided jacket on this cable is so much more durable and claims to withstand 15,000 bends. The ends are solid and well-constructed to resist wear and tear. The soft, stretchy plastic cable tie included makes it easy to wrangle excess cable. All in all, a very nice cable, especially for the price.
I’ve tried a number of brands over the years, but always find that the Insignia products offer equal quality at a reduced price. I’ll continue to purchase them for this reason.

The 800 cfm – 12-amp Electric Turbine Blower is, quite simply, the most powerful electric blower in the marketplace. Other 800 cfm (Cubic Feet per Minute) blowers don’t put out wind power at 135 mph. Physics shouldn’t allow it, but our engineers found a workaround. And even though you’re going to want to blow at that speed all the time, you can use the variable speed control to dial it down. When you need even more power than the 800 cfm/135 mph can provide, there’s the Hyper-Stream nozzle that focuses all the airflow right where you need it. Believe it or not, all that power can be controlled with one hand. The whole unit is only 6.6 lbs., and that amazing Turbine tech creates a wind tunnel that is easy to point. The cord retainer keeps extension cords from pulling apart, even on snags. And you don’t need any tools to put it together. Time to go clear that lawn.

I really don’t like gas-powered leaf blowers. They’re obnoxiously loud, smell bad, and burn fuel poorly - adding to air pollution. But my battery-powered blower only gets me to the height of leaf season - then I end up raking or pulling out the old, dreaded, gas-powered leaf blower.
Well, no more! This Worx corded blower takes up ALL the slack. I’ve never seen so much power from any kind of leaf blower. On low, it’s practically as powerful as the gas-powered equivalent, but on high, you can clean your yard of leaves, no matter how deep they may have gotten!
Despite its power, this blower is so light. It’s easy to sweep away leaves with one hand, although, on high, there is some legit kickback from the force of the blower! But it’s easy to hold in one hand and support with the other to really get tough work done fast. I found the light weight and well-balanced design made it easy to use with either one or two hands.
I thought having a corded blower would be too inconvenient compared to battery-operated, but it was easier to manage than I expected with no worries about using up the battery before the job is done. The special hook on the unit makes it easy to secure your power cord so that it won’t pull out while you’re working. I’m pretty sure I can retire my gas leaf blower now.

Yes. It even comes with a phone cord. This is probably great for offices that still fax and have a dedicated line, but many homes don't have landlines any more.

This Desktop Says, It doesnt have a mouse included, Can you please recommend me a mouse for this? Also How many watts for the psu? And is it a 80+ Psu atleast?
Actually, this system comes with a basic mouse and keyboard. I upgraded it to an Alienware Gaming Keyboard and Gaming Mouse.

This is automatic! When the hinge is rotated 360º -- into tablet mode -- the keyboard is completely disabled.
