If you're doing your taxes yourself, you'll need either H&R Block (formerly TaxCut) or TurboTax. I've used both in the past, and both are good enough at the common things, with gaps at the less common things--especially on the state taxes. There is actually a question in the state interview which essentially asks you if you need to file a form. Huh?--isn't the point of the interview to figure that out for you? But I had a similar experience with TurboTax so those failures don't set one apart from the other. Ultimately, the choice for me comes down to price and this year Block won when it was on sale.

Mid-priced unlocked phone with high end specs

I got this to replace my Zenfone 2 on T-Mobile when its screen died. So far it's been a good choice. My usual tasks (gaming, e-reader, texting, gps) all run without a hitch.
The UI is reasonably close to stock Android if you turn off ZTE's default MiFavor interface. As a general rule, I consider that a plus, but that's an individual preference.
Unlike many competitors it takes a micro-SD card (goes in the 2nd sim card slot, so you can't have 2 sims and the SD card). Having an extra 128GB of on-board storage let's me take my movies/shows/music for long trips without worrying about making hard choices.
Battery life is very good and is made even better with the industry standard Quick Charge 3.0 charger.
Getting the new phone on T-Mobile was just a matter of dropping my sim card from the old phone in. (Yes--I did have to do the trim of my micro-sim to nano-sim size, but that went without a hitch.) While the phone does support Band 12, they are still working on getting it certified with T-Mobile (as of 10/3/2016). When I talked to ZTE, they said they expected to have full support with a software patch by the end of 2016.
Overall, I'm very glad I made this purchase.

Straighforward replacement for Comcast modem

After saying "I've got to stop paying that $10 monthly fee to Comcast" for the privilege of using their modem, I finally decided to take the plunge. This modem is rated to support my Blast! speeds with room for future-proofing. I certainly haven't noticed any slowdown vs. the Comcast-supplied modem with it in place.
It won't support Comcast voice, but Ooma is working just fine for me as far as having a "land line" goes.
Set up was pretty straightforward and just involved connecting everything (new modem, existing wi-fi router) and then registering the modem with Comcast online. Registering required connecting my PC to the modem with an ethernet cable and took a few tries before the connection went through. But once it did everything went smoothly. Since I was using my own wi-fi router plugged in to the old Comcast modem, all the devices connected to the router were fine without any changes once the new modem was up and running.

We got this for a ground floor in-law unit that a guest felt smelled musty. With continuous use while they were staying, they no longer noticed any problem. So it worked for what we needed it to do, emptying the bucket on a daily basis. However when we tried to operate it in continuous mode with a hose, the unit just continued filling the bucket. We checked the directions carefully and went through them step by step but no luck. So a conditional recommendation if you don't care about emptying the bucket.

Sturdy, gets the job done

We got this shredder after our old (and admittedly pretty cheap) one died. This one seems to be sturdier stuff and does indeed handle 10 sheets at a time if you want to go that route. The handle on the top shredder part is a helpful feature when you need to empty the bin below.

if I buy this modem for my comcast Infinity do I also have to buy a seperate router? Is there a router /modem combo?
If you go with this modem you would need a separate wifi router. As a general approach I prefer that separation so they can be upgraded (or replaced when one dies) independently.
If you want a modem/wifi router combo, you might want to look at the NETGEAR - Nighthawk AC1900 Wi-Fi Router with DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem which I've linked as a recommendation. Please note that I put it as a recommendation just because that's the only option for linking another product. I have not used it so cannot make a recommendation. And as mentioned above, my real recommendation would be to go with this modem and a separate wifi router.

Will this modem support Comcast cable t.v., internet and phone service?
This modem will support Comcast internet. I'm using it for that and am happy with the results. Note that you'll need a will need a separate wifi router, assuming you want a wifi connection. You can buy combination cable modem/wifi routers, but I'd recommend getting them separately so you can also replace them independently when the time comes.
Comcast cable TV does not go through the cable modem (cable plugs directly into the X1 box) so is not relevant to your decision on a modem.
This modem will NOT support Comcast phone service.
When I got this modem I dropped my Comcast phone service and switched to Ooma (which I highly recommend for both quality and major price savings). [The Ooma device plugs in to your router via ethernet cable. You can then plug the phone line currently running from your Comcast-suppled modem into Ooma and you're good to go.]

Is this modem compatible with Linksys E2500 router? (I also have an extender in my house Linksys AC1200 Max wifi range extender)
You can connect this modem to any wifi router via an ethernet cable. The modem itself does not have wifi.

No. (The F5 key is backlit to indicate that power is on, but none of the other keys are backlit.)

What is maximum width accepted to shred?
Will this handle paper wider than 8.5" (i.e. a 9" x 12" manila envelope)?

No. The intake for the paper is for 8 1/2 " wide paper. (There's a small amount of wiggle room, but definitely not enough for anything 9" wide.) But since this will handle multiple sheets, you could always fold the envelope over if it doesn't have too much inside.
