Wear it every day

I bought this specifically because I swim. At the time I bought it most other fitness trackers were not water resistant enough for swimming. Even those which are do not track swimming well. If I was able I would have just gotten the Cardio and not the Cardio&Music. I don't use the music at all since when I swim I'm using a waterproof MP3 player.
Sony has been working on the app and updating. It has gotten much less glitchy, but I wish they would work on even better tracking in water. The lap counter is better than most, but not awesome. It is not programmed to track my heart rate while I swim...annoying since that is why I wanted a heart rate monitor IN the waterproof watch. It CAN read my heart rate in the water, but the app and the activity display do not record it.
The watchband could use some design attention too, or maybe just an extra inch. Because there are 3 sets of prongs to keep it secure, there ends up being a bit over an inch of overlap that is unavoidable...so very annoying because to wear it correctly I just need a few more centimeters. I found talk of an XL band, but could not find one anywhere online. Finally bought a space and chopped it up to make an extender.
Even with all the minuses, I think my TomTom is pretty good and I like having it. The software was better on my old Polar Peak, but the TomTom functions better (not a touch screen which the water screwed up all the time) and easier to navigate.

Worth it

It's worth it if you end up having a problem. It's not very expensive and for most electronics the cost of just getting the problem diagnosed is almost as much as just replacing the device. With the Protect and Support, it gives you another option.

A big step up from last tablet

I work on a computer all day at work so I really resisted getting more than a basic eReader and my smart phone. I'm glad I finally caved though. My Samsung Tab A is much lighter than the Nook HD I had, it's faster and more flexible because I'm not dealing with B&N software.
I still hate typing on the touch screen, but there are tons of keyboards out there I could attach if I end up typing that much on it.

Love my Walkman Sport

This is the second Sony Walkman Sport that I have had. My first one lasted about 5 years which isn't bad when I swim with it on 2 to 3 times a week and tend to forget to take it out of my bag. This one is even better than the first. The newer design fits better and stays in my ears while swimming without having to be held on with my goggles. The battery life is good...I tend to recharge once every 2 to 3 weeks. The buttons on this are easy to navigate without having to remove the earbuds and look for them. There are audio signals for power on and power off as well as modes of play. I could do without the conversation mode, but I suppose if you were using them while jogging with a partner or where you wanted to be aware of traffic around you it may be helpful.

I have very sensitive ears. Are the earbuds that come with the unit hard or are they covered with a soft plastic? If they are hard, can the sound be heard with the unit fitting around the neck. I want them for water jogging.

My Sony Walkman came with two styles of earbuds. One for underwater and one for land use. Both are soft pliable rubber and the band around the head and over ears is covered with a softer rubber. The only part which is hard is the actual MP3 player/speakers which should rest outside your ear. If you are still worried I would suggest stopping at a store in person and seeing if they have a pair you can look at and touch.
