Mike Howe-era Metal Church has always been my favorite and XI is a fine return to form for Metal Church. It's like no time has passed at all since he left after Hanging in the Balance back in '93. You could put this cd into a playlist with all the other Howe-fronted Metal Church albums and you would barely notice a difference. Except maybe in production quality. Old MC fans won't be disappointed.

LEGO Batman is very similiar in style and play as both LEGO Star Wars and LEGO Indiana Jones games. Batman & Robin need to work together to find and unlock different clues to move onto new levels. It's both fun and challenging (and sometimes frustrating!!). It's a good game that I can play with my kids and have just as much fun myself as they do.

I finally stepped up to the 21st century and got a gaming console for my family, the Xbox 360. The only problem is that while it came with ONE controller, I have 3 children. You can see the conundrum this caused. One quick trip to Best Buy remedied the situation.

The 2nd album with Todd LaTorre as front man finds the band expanding on the sound they developed on the s/t album from a couple of years ago. This album sounds a little more focused and the band is tight. They are finally able to rock again. Makes you wonder if this was the music that hammer Geoff Tate was vetoing all those past years. While it's not exactly a throwback to their classic sound, it certainly rocks harder than the band has since the old Empire days.

It's another Motorhead album. You know what to expect from Lemmy & Company by now. You either like them or you don't. They are consistent in the quality of the music with subtle differences that make each album unique. To say they've been releasing the same album for over 30 years is bollocks to anyone that really knows the band. Phil's solo on 'Til the End' is one of his most heartfelt and beautiful. If Bad Magic turns out to be Lemmy's swan song, it's a darn fine album to go out on. They are Motorhead and they play rock n' roll!!

Another Quality Release From Weiland & Co.

Despite Scott Weiland's insistence that he is not a part of this group, he and the rest of the band have put forth a quality rock album. The songs are very catchy and stick in your head long after the album is over. Bumblefoot's guitar playing isn't overly technical or far-out like some of his solo material. He plays for the song, not his own showmanship.
If you dig any of Scott Weiland's past efforts, including his latest with the Wildabouts, you're sure to find something to like with this album. Sadly, I expect this to be a one-and-done release as Scott basically ignores it, Thal will continue to do his own thing and the bass player returns to his main gig with Disturbed. That's a shame. It's a seriously good album.

Scott Weiland's newest album is sure to be a hit with long-time fans. It rocks, but doesn't get too artsy or weird like his previous solo albums. If you didn't like him before, this album isn't likely to sway you. However, If you've liked his work in STP or Velvet Revolver, there's plenty to like here too. I look forward to hearing more from him (if he can keep it together) and the rest of the band.

My Samsung Soundbar is mounted directly under the tv with the hardware included in the packaging right into the drywall. It's not heavy at all and did not need addition support or mounting hardware. A few drywall anchors is all it takes, if you're going that route.
