I was a huge fan of Melissa McCarthy after seeing her in Bridesmaids. Unfortunately her next few films weren't very good (Identity Thief, Tammy, The Heat). Spy is a return to her being funny. It's a good movie and the blu ray is good quality with digital copy included which I always like for mobile devices.
I remember watching this movie as a kid. With the new release of Fury Road, I was reinvigorated about the Mad Max franchise and picked this up for $7.99. The movie is a classic. It's just as good as before and looks great on blu ray. This edition also comes with a digital copy which I appreciate.
I picked this up for basically $2 as it was included in a discount promotion with the new Poltergeist film. The movie is a classic and looks good in HD on blu ray. If you are a fan of the film, I wouldn't hesitate to pay the normal $7-$10 for it.
This is definitely not the original that I remember from my childhood, but that was a classic. This movie pays homage to the original with some different takes on some of the classic scenes and adds a few new twists. I'd give it a C+. The quality of the blu ray was great and to be expected. There weren't very many special features though.
