Is this the right cable for hooking up speakers or soundbar to my W7 PC? If not, what is?

My current audio cord is too short plus I am looking to replace desktop speakers with a bluetooth speaker or a soundbar. Is this what I need? If not, could you link me to the correct Insignia product? Thanks!

As long as your pc's sound card or on-board audio (integrated with your motherboard) has an optical audio output and your sound bar has an optical input this will work just fine. For a Bluetooth connection this would serve no purpose. If the length of your current cable is the issue, make sure 6ft is long enough. They have longer optical cables and some best buy stores sell it by the foot and packs of male ends.
