I saw "San Andreas Quake" on Hulu and had to add it to my DVD collection. The special effects may not be as good as "Andreas", but it is very entertaining. The story line is engaging and the acting is good. I would recommend this movie.
Have a copy of this on Laser Disc and brought a earlier copy of it on DVD when it first came out. This copy of the DVD was redone to were the image is considerably better.
Carl Schenkel's underrated The Mighty Quinn comes to DVD with a widescreen transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1. An English soundtrack is rendered in Dolby Digital Surround, and a French soundtrack has been recorded in Dolby Digital Mono. Spanish and French subtitles are accessible, and the English soundtrack is closed-captioned. Supplemental materials include the original theatrical trailer. This is a fine DVD from MGM/UA.
Steve Rash directs Pauly Shore in Son In Law, which comes to DVD with a widescreen transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1. The English soundtrack is rendered in Dolby Digital Surround, while a French soundtrack has been recorded in Dolby Digital Stereo. There are no subtitles, but the English soundtrack is closed-captioned. Supplemental materials are limited to the theatrical trailer. This is a decent release from Disney that will please Shore fans, but there is little here for the average DVD consumer.
You'll be laughing a lot. The only problem was the aspect ratio on both my Projector and Samsung LCD television. I noticed how the image was stretched out. You'll defiantly will see it on the pickup truck.
Love this movie. My daughter purchased it on iTunes and I watched it 3 times. Had to get the DVD so I could play it in my dedicated Home Theater. Has great surround sound and deep bass. I also have an overhead channel and you could her things flying over you. Don't know if the Dolby Atmos system will do the same, since I have a separate processor for the envelopment channel.
