And it's very forgiving, requiring no precise alignment. You simply hold the connector near the back of the watch, where magnets cause it to snap into place automatically.

Just one hesitation

Aside from the fact that I find Apple products in general to be overpriced, my only hesitation with this cable is that even with gentle care they tend to break down in time where the cord enters the end plug. I never pull a cord by the wire. But even with that care, these cords can expose wires at this juncture. A plastic straight sleeve over the wire for about an inch would completely solve this problem. But apparently Apple, even at this price point, can't include that for its customers. [sigh]

Anyone with an Apple watch knows you don't get great battery life. With average messaging, I have to charge my watch every night. I travel, and sometimes I travel a lot. Periodically I get held up over night in some airport because of weather delays. Just when I need my watch the most, the battery will go dead. If you can fight everyone else to get to a plug and sit grounded to it for hours to charge your watch, more power to you. That never seems to work out for me. But with this charger, my problem is SOLVED! This charging stand includes its own battery that automatically charges as it charges my watch each night. I keep this plugged in, as you would any other model of watch charger, and every night I use it to charge my watch. And when I pack for travel, I just take it with me. If I run into any travel delays, no problem. My watch charger is itself fully charged and I can charge my watch without needing a plug. I can't tell you how many people have seen me use this on the fly while traveling (no pun intended!) and said they'd have to purchase it when they got home. This is a great gift idea for anyone with an Apple watch.

This is not a stylus to make a great impression. But it will get the job done. It lacks weight for my hand. It also rolls easily across a desk or table (and falls to the floor). Extra bonus - I can take short breaks and use the laser to play 'chase the laser' on the floor with my cat! (But be careful not to shine in your pet's eyes since it will do major damage and can result in permanent blindness).

I purchased this band for my Apple watch, available on sale. The great is truly an olive green which doesn't line up well with my tastes for spring and summer colors. But it's perfect for fall and winter. It follows Apple's easy-to-switch band procedure and I can flip watch bands in 23 seconds. I think the length will work for most people. It has roughly a dozen hours for adjustment. The material isn't stiff and the closure doesn't pinch. I'll keep my eyes open for this same band in other colors.

Four Star Case and a Two Star Fit

The case is fine, but I would only rate it 4 stars because the colors were very limited: black or purple. It was nice appearing, however, and appeared well made.
However, it was sold to me along with my Amazon Fire and it does not fit the Amazon Fire. I relied on the sales person to help me know which case would work, and he handed me this one. The newest Fire currently on sale for $50 is simply the Amazon Fire. It is NOT the Amazon Kindle Fire. Nor is it the HD Fire. Amazon is differentiating between the Amazon Kindle Fire and the Amazon Fire. This is a new change that is not yet well known as of the date of this writing. So for size/fit due to poor info from salesperson, I give it 2 stars.

What I especially like about this piece is how heavy it is. Previous stands that I've tried are tall (and the watch is draped over them... the band ends hang down and my cat likes to paw at them in play. A few times I've found my watch being batted around the room). Or some stands are low and flat. But the problem then is that the weight of the watch causes them, with only slight provocation, to slide right off my night stand. This Anchor Base is heavy, and it goes no where. I'm glad I purchased it!

I haven't paid much attention to the Fire since the very first one out years back. But recently I purchased an Amazon Echo which I am thoroughly enjoying. And I discovered that my Echo was capable of 'voice casting.' This basically means that whatever Alexa is saying can show up as text or pictures on a screen (recipe or weather map, for example) and you can then print it out! So I wanted to explore voice casting and the easiest way to do that is with an Amazon Fire. What a deal! $50 for the most recent version that boasts all manner of things. I even get free movies! So I purchased a case for the Fire that would work as an easel stand, set it up as a photo frame displaying a rotating series of my digital photos, and whenever I want to I can voice cast from my Amazon Echo! Playing a music album? I can see the album cover and list of songs on my Fire. Checking what's playing at which movie theater when? I can voice cast that info so everyone can see it and vote. And we haven't even talked about using the Fire as an easy go-to for email or games!

We have a situation where there is no camera allowed. Can the camera be disabled?
I'm sure there is a way, technically, to disable the camera. But any person or place that restricts the environment to 'no camera' status is not going to permit any device that has a physical camera simply because a disabled camera could be readily and discretely enabled once on the premises. Every place I've been at which does not allow cameras have required cell phones, tablets, notebook computers, and actual cameras be left in vehicles, checked into a locker - or better yet, not brought along at all.
