I bought this phone for my mother who can't use a standard smart phone.
THE BAD:
It is heavier than my moto x and far heavier than a basic flip phone. When using the phone function, there is no unique dtmf tone for each number pressed. When displaying pictures or video the screen cuts off part of the picture compared to a standard smart phone. My mother keeps turning off the ringer because she grabs the phone on the left side right where the volume controls are. When opening the flip, it is too easy to touch the screen changing the home screen to a different screen.

The keypad is easy to use to dial a number for those persons who can't use the touch screen. There is one customizable key which can go direct to the dial function. The speed dial keys work directly from the home screen, so no need to bring up the dialer.

Not good for networks in different directions

This antenna works well if the stations are within 10 miles of home, are line of sight, and there are no obstructions in the way. If there are stations with transmitters in different directions this antenna does not work well. In San Diego, ABC uses a different spectrum than NBC or CBS and ABC is very difficult to receive unless the antenna is less than 10 miles , line of sight. I tried the antenna in 3 different homes in 3 different parts of San Diego. I had to move the antenna to the window in each home to be able to receive more than 1 station. Even then I could not get ABC, CBS, NBC all the time. I got the best signal from a location at the beach that had no hill obstructions and was line of sight to all major networks.

Great Price on sale, but only fair quality

I bought 3 on sale for $6. The motor is noisy. The fan vibrates so it could fall off a shelf. I think it is a bearing problem. It does cool, but I would not recommend it if you need a quiet fan. I kept one and returned the other 2.

I bought this asus on a flash sale. Great price. It is a replacement for my wife's old netbook which was way too slow and couldn't support streaming video. This doesn't have an Ethernet connection, but does have hdmi so it was perfect for our backup use when travelling. For general internet use it is quite fast and downloaded pages as fast as my Dell Precision workstation. I also installed all my standard 32 bit programs, which work fine on it, including even an old DOS program. The only problem I ran into is lack of Ethernet port to transfer data quickly between my desktop and this laptop. So I use wifi, but transfer gigabits of data between 2 machines is slow if using wifi. Streaming video worked great, no buffering. The only real downside is lack of storage. You can plug in a 32 or 64 gb class 10 sd card for added storage if needed. I won't upload any of my pix to this machine but will keep them on the sd card. I also customized the start screen to let me run my own programs which do not show up in the windows 8 program list and got rid of most of the annoying standard windows 8 tiles.

I bought this modem router to replace a motorola docsis 2 modem and linksys wrt54g g router because I was having problems with Time Warner internet. I upgraded to this n model router because of the Built-in 4-port 10/100/1000 switch vs 10/100 switch since most of my equipment is connected via ethernet and to have the capability of upgrading to faster speed internet when that becomes available at a reasonable price. I was hoping to have extended range while using the n part of the wireless router. Unfortunately what I learned from Zoom tech support was that the router defaults to G if there is a g appliance connected so that I can't have both an n speed and a g speed appliance connected. Both the range and speed of this modem/router are exactly the same as my old linksys wrt54g. The modem does have more options for internal configuration, and having an all in one unit eliminates Time Warner's constant requirement to unplug the router and only connect to the modem when they can't get the internet to work and they want to blame the router. The modem/router has a power switch which makes it convenient to reset the router when Time Warner looses the connection, which occurs a lot around here.
