Purchased to replace a Fitbit One. And I can't say how much I love this band It is fairly accurate, matching my GPS driven Phone based fitness app within 5%. Battery is good for 5 days and Fitbit offers the option of an email/SMS alert when your battery is low.
The band is a standard watch style clasp rather than the compression tabs of previous models. It is comfortable and easily cleaned.
Word of warning. I purchased the 'large' version of the band, I don'thave large wrists by any extent of the imagination and I'm on the last hole.

Is it suitable for women
The Watch face is about average sized for a man's watch. Whether or not it would suit you, only you could answer. It is smaller than the Fossile watch my daughter routinely wears.

Does it need to be charged? Does it come with a charger?
The Blaze needs to be charged and the battery is advertized to last 5 days (and mine backs this up) The charge unit is USB based and can be connected to a computer or an external charger.

Strap!
Is the strap made out of the same material as the fitbit surge HR?
The Stock strap is, yes. Replacement straps are readily available unlike earlier wrist trackers. The official Fitbit straps are a bit on the pricy side, but third party straps are available in the $30 range, leather, metal, multiple styles.
