Stryper is back with their classic sound. If you are new to discovering them then this is not the cd for you, if you are a old fan you'll enjoy this as it has the classic Stryper sound.
This is their last cd with the Mercury label & you can till that they put no time or effort into it. There isn't a song on here that I want to turn up nor keep in my cd player on rotation. If your a die hard fan of the group you will be disappointed, if your new to them do yourself a favor & listen to the older stuff first because this isn't the cd that you want to discover them with.
Don't know if I'm listening to new Pop Evil music or Shinedown. With the first release off the cd Footsteps sounding alot like the new "sound" of Shinedown, this band can't identify themselves. they should've stuck with their old sound from previous cd's that is the Pop Evil sound.
Emerson Drive is one of the most underrated groups in country music, there hasn't been a cd that this group hasn't come out with that hasn't been good, it continues with there latest Tilt A Whirl, even though it's an ep it's still worthy of being on the list of good Emerson Drive cd's if you haven't discovered this group yet what are you waiting for?
After 3 very good cd's, Darius on his 4th has not kept the magic touch. There really is only a few really good songs on here & the rest just seem like they were album fillers. I'm a Darius fan but this cd won't be getting many spins in my cd player.
If Van Halen is planning on making a comeback with this cd then they can stay away, David Lee Roth is no longer the show man he once was the voice is gone & he just isn't Diamond Dave anymore. Hearing this cd makes me not want to see them live because I know I'm going to be disappointed.
What do you get when you take the singer from a "80's christian rock band & who many consider one of the best guitarst, you get a cd that sounds a lot like Stryper & not so much Dokken. This is a average cd with a few good tracks but not a lot of spotlight on George's guitar licks.
