Good Kim Simmonds album

This is a good effort by Kim Simmonds and Savoy Brown. The recording is very up front like in a small club, which to me sounds great. The vocals are handled by Kim now and there is a resemblance to Mark Knopfler of Dire Straits which can be good or bad depending on your taste. However, the guitar playing by Kim is always worth the price of the disc.

This release focuses on the 70s recordings that were a mix of big band versions of film and TV themes, disco-type classical and some well performed jazz. Maynard is still solid, even if he is showboating at times. He always is amazing when the music calls for his stratospheric ability!

This is a great early Zappa release with some irreverent lyrics and stellar musicianship. This is full of Zappa's great delivery of twisted lyrics. He has horns on this one, also. "I'm The Slime", "Dirty Love", and "Zomby Woof". really cook!

Excellent Zappa release with some stellar performances by George Duke on keyboards and vocals. Frank Zappa is in great form on vocals and guitar. The track "Inca Roads" is worth the price of the disc for it's complex and original playing. Johnny "Guitar" Watson also makes and appearance. This is not your stock radio play music. It's way ahead of it's time.

This edition of the Black Sabbath first album is really put together well. The remaster is a little dark sounding on this one, but it fits well. The packaging is really nice and the bonus disc has some cool alternate versions of the album tracks also.
