I purchased these 3 month XBox Live cards which arguably aren't the cheapest way to enjoy the service if you anticipate on being a long term user of it. But when you are able to purchase these at 60% off retail on Black Friday it's really a no brainer. Stock up when on sale and enjoy online gaming for a great price.
You are able to apply up to 3 years worth of subscription to your XBox live account so it's a good reason to stock up when they are cheap.

At normal price I would recommend the 12 or 24 month cards instead as they are a better value normally. XBox Live provides loads of content and a great online game community so if you're a XBox Gamer this is a must.

I'm a big fan of the CoD franchise and I was anticipating this game to come out as a follow up to Advanced Warfare. It's very different because you aren't using "futuristic" weapontry but satisfying because you are using more realistic weapons.
The game quality looks amazing but with the new XBox One X hardware and optimizations for 4K and HDR this game provides an unbelievable experience. Short of shrapnel and bullets blasting in your game/living room you could swear that you were in the heart of the action.
FPS fans especially those that enjoy a more realistic play style (no lazer beams and force fields) will really enjoy this.

This is one of the best blockbusters of summer 2017. I was excited to watch it in theaters and I was anticipating getting a copy to watch at home on my home entertainment system. Without spoiling any of the movie, I am really glad that Marvel/Disney and Sony were able to work out contractual complexities of Hollywood movie studios and produce a really great film that fits into the greater MCU. Spider-man is funny and none of the origin story had to be retold. The movie production quality was spot on and the story was entertaining throughout. Technical aspects of digital transfer in this version is great and true to form as it was in theaters. I have a very highend HDR 4K TV that is able to produce all the nuances of the HDR10 and DolbyVision standards and the quality was spot on. I really enjoy the fact that no only does the 4K disc come at highest quality but I have access to the content from most major online content vendors as a part of the Movies Anywhere network. So I can watch my digital copies on iTunes, Vudu, Amazon and Google.
If you are a fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) you will need to watch this as the character development and appearance will appear in future movies. Spider-man: Homecoming warrants owning a copy as it was very entertaining and has replay value. 5 full stars and 2 thumbs way up!

This one feels like the Fast and Furious meets HK Cinema. The action sequences are elaborate and fun to watch but at times you will notice the faster than possible speeds like old 70's action films where stuff was filmed kind of slow motion then sped up double speed to look like really quick action. It comes off as cheesy but I believe at this point the franchise is cheesy and that's just part of the fun of it.
Though we all know that Brian O'Conner (Paul Walker) won't return in this film, and he is practically not even mentioned, the film manages to carry the same cache as the previous films. Much like how Tokyo Drift was missing the series regulars it still manages to be a good franchise film.
The antagonist was a bit far fetched and the audience has to make some pretty incredible stretches to the plot line, the action scenes make up for many of those shortcomings.
The quality of the transfer is great, I only noticed on slight issue about 5 minutes into the movie with some slowness/jittery to the movie like it was buffering a download. But I haven't gone back to the re-watch the movie again to see if it was an anomaly in the player or disc or if it is actually a poor copy. I was playing back on my Xbox One S. I didn't see any other issues with the movie and the colors and fidelity look superb, especially on my 75" Sony Z9D.
If you didn't catch this one in the theater this one is a fun one to watch. If you enjoy the franchise this one is inline with what you probably expect, it certainly wasn't the best (Furious 7 or Tokyo Drift IMHO) or the worst (2 Fast 2 Furious) but somewhere in the middle above average. I would own this if you are a fan of the franchise and want a fun film with great technical qualities.

This was a fairly quiet update to the iPad lineup and I guess with that said there's not much to say but it's an iPad that looks like, feels like and acts just like any other iPad. I own a few Airs and regular iPads of previous generations and a big honking iPad Pro, and this is closer to the the Air in terms of size and should fit more accessories the same. Performance-wise I believe they upgraded the processor but I really don't use it for rendering games or trying to squeeze every last bit of compute out of it.
It's an iPad and if you need one get one with the right amount of storage for your needs. I recommend going slightly higher if you are on the fence about what you might need. My kids have all enjoyed their iPads and it was time to replace a 2nd generation one for my oldest so now he gets the latest version to watch movies on and play with.
Really can't go wrong with this one and I would only get a Pro if you needed the Apple Pen and having a Lite-Laptop.

Reference Display for Movie Lovers

This display is no slouch, in fact it is on par with the 32" $30K reference monitors that are being used to create films. It's certainly a bargain when you compare it to the professional tools but it's one of the most expensive displays on the market. So I will admit it is not for everyone.
I was on the fence between going LG OLED, waiting for the new Sony OLED A1E to be released or getting this display and what made me decide to purchase this one is a few key features that OLEDs won't be able to touch for a while. First, overall brightness, this is rated as one of the brightest displays in the market and I will say without a doubt it's brighter than the plasma display I owned that it was replacing. Content that has a lot of pure white in it actually has me squinting as if I am looking at a lightbulb or a white wall reflecting the sun. Blacks are nearly as pure black as OLEDs and when you combine the fact that you get much brighter colors and nearly as black blacks, you can tell why this is the reference home display.
I was trying to stay away from buying more discs but it's hard to do when you want to see what this display can do. The first 4K Ultra HD HDR disc I tried on here was Passengers, and the picture quality is absolutely amazing, especially in the scenes where the characters go out for a spacewalk, you can feel the vastness of space and the scene were Chris Pratt looks into space is just mesmerizing. No details are lost in the space with even the faintest stars twinkling in the vast blackness of space, and there was a distinct separation of darks and lights even in the areas where the nebula would have washed out blacks on other displays.
I also had a requirement for 3D content, yes I said it 3D. And this seemed to be the only display on the market that was still doing 3D and killing it in the 4K arena. I have a a bunch of 3D discs from when it was a real big thing and I didn't want to just give that up. The last 3D film I purchased was Dr Strange and this is a film that really lends itself to a showcase of 3D effects without being gimmicky. Watching the opening scene of Dr Strange looks almost as good as it did in the theater, and probably not as good as the theater because I was sampling the 3D during the day in my living room with light shining in. It's actually better than the 7 year old Samsung 8500 Plasma it was replacing being much brighter. I was even able to use my Samsung 3D glasses with the the Sony Z9D and it worked great.
The built in SmarTV apps worked well and I was able to get ARC setup to my AV receiver without issue and watch Netflix and Amazon Prime 4K/UHD content without any issues. I now prefer to access Netflix via the SmarTV app rather than use my Apple TV because I get UHD content, but streaming my Apple library to the monitor still looks great and upscales well.
I haven't played a lot of games on it but the response time is good and the image quality is outstanding, performs much better than OLED for games.
There are only a few drawbacks to this display that I can think of, big one is price, this is double the price of similar sized competitors displays, and those those displays might not perform as well it's hard to justify paying twice as much to go from good to great, or as I will put it, from "yeah that's nice" to "wow, that's amazing!" Most people aren't as much of a film buff as i am so I can't fault them for not appreciating the difference. If you are one to spend the extra money for Dolby Vision/Dolby Atmos experience at a theater you'll really appreciate this display. If you don't care if you watch a film at your local theaters 2nd run screens then you probably don't need to consider this as the experience is less important to you.
Other drawback, is that this display isn't as svelte as an OLED or even other LEDs on the market, it certainly sits further out on my wall than my Samsung did, but not so much that it is going to change your perspective looking at it. The bezel is really thin and the picture is so good that you really do forget how deep the monitor is compared to an OLED or even Sony's newest A1E display.
If you can afford this monitor and you like the best this should take serious consideration.

I bought this because I needed to transfer a few files that would not fit on a 16GB USB drive. The performance of this is up to 3.0 speeds, the price is very reasonable and the size is extremely small so adding to my tool bag of items makes it a no-brainer. I don't have a need for a cache drive but it's small enough to be left in a Windows laptop as a cache drive.

Batman V Superman vs great potential

Like most Zack Snyder films it's pent up and moody. It seems to be a cross between a reboot and a continuation of two franchises and this film can get lost to those unfamiliar to DC Comic Universe or can be a disappointment for those that are story purists. I enjoyed it for it's moodiness and atmosphere, but I think it tried to cram too much into a single film and the "epic" battle between good and evil fell short of being "epic" and i really would have enjoyed it being closer to the telling of Superman vs Doomsday series much later in this DC film universe. DC's trying to imitate MCU's film formula and it's just not executed well. As a stand-alone super hero film with characters you know and recognize it wasn't bad. For being a Black Friday special I think 4K version was worth the $8.99 I paid, but full priced $27.99 I'd probably skip the purchase it for a rental.

If you have a iPhone this is the must have watch to own. It makes staying connected easy when you don't want to pull out your phone. I never miss any messages or notifications now when my phone is in my purse. The fitness tracking application is nice and it keeps me motivated. I just wish I could swim with the watch.
