I purchased this portable unit because I am not allowed a window unit according to association rules. My bedroom has glass sliding doors, 2 skylights, and a double window making it very hard to cool. This unit has kept the temperature in the room constant.

What's great about it: It was easy to install and keeps my bedroom cool.
What's not so great: It is a bit loud...but not awful.

With an ultrathin design, a larger, 4-inch Retina display, a 5-megapixel iSight camera, Bluetooth 4.0, iTunes and the App Store, Siri, iMessage, FaceTime, Game Center, and more—it's the most fun iPod touch ever.

The only thing I would mention is if you have a Bose Sound Dock you will need to purchase an adapter to use the lightning connection on the 5th generation IPod.
