For the price - not significantly different from the Toshiba units I have - it is much faster, noticeably smaller and feels better built (build quality feel is admittedly a personal opinion).
It reads and writes faster than my Toshiba USB 3.0 units.
So far it is also very reliable.

Better than Samsung Plastic Stylus

I bought the AA-DP0NE2B/US Samsung brand full size "pen" stylus with my Galaxy Tab 7 Windows 8.1 tablet because I utilize S-Note daily. I didn't like it - it felt like a cheap toy, not a quality pen. Then, less than a week later it fell out of my pocket because the clip is worthless. Then I bought this. WOW! I absolutely love it. It feels like a quality (think Cross) pen in my hand. The clip is very secure and I believe it will likely last for years. The only down side is the back end doesn't function as an eraser like the Samsung mentioned above. It is more expensive than I would like but WELL worth the price.

It comes several pieces of utility software installed for ease of use, and it backs up files automatically so you don't have to. This Western Digital hard drive is USB 3.0 compatible for transfer rates up to three times faster than compatible drives.
Does this drive work well for running games?
Load times will be slow. It uses a WD Red NAS HDD drive that spins at 5400 RPM. You'd be better off buying a cheap 500 GB SSD and putting it in a USB 3.0 or 3.1 enclosure (San Disk has a 500 GB SSD for $129 right now), unless you need the huge capacity of this drive.
If you need the huge 4TB capacity for all your games, then it will work.
