By getting her two, she is able to give one to someone else so they can compete with each other as they track their activities. This DVD player fits our need pretty good. It has a good clear picture. The sound is good. It is small and portable. Only problem is the remote is difficult to see the markings on the buttons. Would have been better if the writing on the remote was a contrast to the remote color or back lite. It also should have a volume control button on the remote
