Has an option to use an ION feature. I used this in a room where I had cleaned the carpets and there was a residual odor from the cleaning solution. I ran the air cleaner for three hours on high and the odor was gone. I have also used in to help with pet odors with good results. I would buy this model again if I had it to do over

What's great about it: No filter to replace and puts out a good bit of cool air
What's not so great: Quiet at low speed at higher speed you can hear it running
