Reliable media to preserve those special files

I have used various media for years and this media has exceeded the other brands. Other brands would have discs defective to of the spindle. Memorex is very reliable and that matters when your counting on storage of family pictures and movies.

The device is awesome. Spent extra cash & got 4 TB. Well worth it. I added an additional 2 Tb USB 3 and it is now 6 TBs and is awesome. This thing rocks and then software is excellent. One last thing that I am trying to figure out is getting status when my son uploads through the Internet. I also use a media box and DLNA and stream directly form this device. It rocks. The only issue I have had recently has nothing to do with this device but concerns me that Tine Warner may throttle my internet connection when the device is being used through the Internet sometimes. I have no proof that TW is throttling me, but it seems coincidental.

Awesome IMAC 27"

As Silver Elite, in last year, I bought washer,dryer,PC, high-end receiver, Iphone 5, and this IMAC, Love the product but very unhappy with recent trends by Best Buy. When I bought my new IPHONE almost a year ago and they offered a better plan than Verizon (if phone breaks(even by your own doing), it will be replaced) That plan is not being offered any more. The new plan is no different than Verizon's. Because of the change, I recently bought my Wife's new IPhone directly at Verizon. When I purchased this IMAC, I used my BB rewards card and discovered a recent change in the BB rewards plan - if you use the 18 months interest free you get zero reward points. I will be less likely to buy from Best Buy in the future due to taking away the incentives. As a Silver Elite customer, I am offended by the changes by Best Buy, It appears that the recent spin to go from Reward Zone to My BestBuy was a cover to take away customer incentives. Lastly, when I called customer service in attempt to understand why I did not get my points, all I heard was the RZ points rules changes this summer and customers were notified in an email(that was cold).

It comes several pieces of utility software installed for ease of use, and it backs up files automatically so you don't have to. This Western Digital hard drive is USB 3.0 compatible for transfer rates up to three times faster than compatible drives.
I plugged ths "plug and play" external hard drive into my PC. The PC saw the drive, but the WD software did not see its own drive, and thus could not schedule a backup. When I turned the PC off and on, the Windows 10 OS crashed. Any suggestions?

Has anyone had trouble with this Easystore drive unmounting or not being able to see files after hooked to a MAC that has entered sleep mode? WD tech support said that that is a known problem(without solution) with thier new MYBOOK drives connect to MACS
Yes, I had many problems wit this drive and returned it to Best Buy. I use a special NTFS read/write plugin with my MAC and have had no issue with any previous WD drive.

Sound issue
A few times when I turn on this tv, I have no sound at all. I have to turn it off then turn it back on to get sound. Is this an issue anyone else has or since I am still in the return period should I take it back and exchange it out?
Are you going to a AV receiver with optical out or using the TV sound? I would eliminate the wire being the issue by swapping to another wire or just playing the sound through the tv sound. See if the problem happens there as well. If it happens just using the TV sound, then you may have an internal motherboard issue. I had the issue with the TV out sound to my receiver a few times and I fixed it by going in to the TV audio out option and reselecting setting. Your issue seems more persistent.

Remote control
I am needing a replacement remote since mine was shipped without one and the sales rep was unable to find one in his parts department. Where can I buy a remote TM1560B remote?
if you have smartphone, you can download app to do most of the features. Not as efficient as the original remote. You should be able to go to Samsung site and order through them or ask them how to get a replacement one. Another option os to get a high-end universal remote (best buy has them)

YES, If it can not get to the OS, then you are out of luck.

Can you delete files from your laptop and still keep them on your backup?
I have a WD My Book and I want to use it more as an external hard drive than a back up. If I back up my files, can I delete them off my laptop so I don't have so much stuff on my laptop.
Yes , you can use as an external drive (and remove moves from laptop drive), but you will have ot near a plug at all times to power the WD My Book,. This takes the portability advantage away from having a Laptop. You may be better served to purchases a 128 GB USB stick. For home use, you can setup a NAS hard drive that will all devices on local network to attach and store.

Can we install Quickbooks on My Cloud and run it remotely...add data, modifiy files ect.
No. This is a storage device that is meant for data storage and access through the internet. Great for privately sharing family videos, photos and other files with other folks anywhere they can access the internet. Has an APP for Iphone which is good for seeing photos.
