The 288 standard ink cartridges are good for about 30-50 pages, depending on the amount of print or photos on each page. The 288 XL cartridges provide much more printing capacity at a per-page lower cost. Look for deals or ooupons to lower the cost.

Will this printer work with an apple computer and and hp computer
I am using this printer successfully with a MacBook Pro laptop AND a PC laptop running Windows 10. Both installed very easily.
