Should my center speaker work all the time?
I understood that the center, front left/right, and sub should always work?? I read in the Samsung manual that the rear speakers only work with music or dvd when dolby II is enabled, and that is only for sound effects at that. But what about the center speaker? When watching tv the FR and FL and SUB all work fine. The center does not work at all. I did the test tone drill, and all speakers made a sound, so the center is installed correctly. The speaker volume is turned all the way up on the center speaker, the speaker mode shows 'present' and 'small'. Does the center only work for sound effects as well ??
It may depend on the listening mode you have it set to begin your other viewing options. Most of the time when you watch a movie your sound system will automatically detect Dolby or Dts sound formats but not always when watching tv. Try changing your listening mode when watching tv.
