How does this compare to an otter box?
It is rugged. My son hasn’t cracked his phone yet and he is an active 16 year old that is naturally rough on everything. I personally don’t like the Otterbox but it’s whst you like and feel comfortable with. Look at the cases by Catalyst and Lifeproof before purchasing.

Is this case easy to remove? I like to keep my ID in the back of it so when I need it I can just take it out. Is it rubber or plastic?
Case is a hard plastic and I purchased for my son. I think I have threatened him enough that he hasn’t removed it from the case. It looks like it would be a little more difficult to remove from the case than a rubber one. If you are looking for s case that you can carry an ID or credit cards in, try the Platinum Wallet case. It’s leather and looks really nice. I didn’t think that I would like it as much as I do, but I’m my opinion it is awesome and fits my needs so far. I grab my keys and my phone when I have to make a quick trip to the store and everything is already with me because I keep my license, credit card and some cash in it all the time. Not sure if this helps as your lifestyle may be very active or athletic. Sorry I couldn’t give you more info on the other case...

Are there any fitbits that work without a computer hook up. I just want to basically track steps and maybe heart rate but do not want pedometer, would like something on my wrist.
