Take a closer look with this Dell 24-inch monitor. Its InfinityEdge technology uses a thin bezel for a modern design and a practically borderless display that measures 23.8 inches. I was debating on the Show and the Spot. The price for the Show dropped $100 so it was the same price--I thought I would try it. LOVE it. Screen looks great. Sound is very good. I since bought the Spot also--fine, but prefer the Show. Some talk about the design--I think it looks great. Have it in our kitchen. Seems more sensitive to sound. It plays full youtube and Amazon videos. Wonder how long the screen will last since it is always on--but it is exactly what I envisioned for a kitchen device.

Check the weather before you even get out of bed with Echo Spot, which is compatible with Alexa and pairs easily with Bluetooth-enabled phones. I purchased this to put it on my office desktop. I have two of the Amazon Show's. The speaker is supposed to be bigger than the dots (have 12 of them) but it doesn't sound a lot different--not even close to our Echo or the Show (BIG sound). It has much, much smaller video, but good enough to see the front door with my Amazon Cloud Cam. It is small though. The price just went down--but for the same price as the Show (was $100 off original pricing) I would get the Show (if have space).

I first purchased an LG j7700. It has blue bands, the blacks were gray/blue and the image was washed. I tried to adjust according to reviews but it was just not vibrant--I showed photos and the rep understood, so I returned it. The Best Buy rep recommended the Sony 850e. It was FANTASTIC. Vivid, deep blacks, fast--a big contrast to the LG. It cost $499 more (not as big a sale), but I obviously didn't pay "enough" the first time to get the 4k experience I expected. It was a good mix of features and price (not OLED, but still looks incredible).

Does the Sony XBR65X850E have a IPS Panel ?
The 75" does, the 65" has a VPS (or something like that). It doesn't have the same width of view but MUCH more vibrant with solid blacks and a 4,000 (plus:1 contrast versus a 1200 ?: 1. Don't want to look up the specs--but MUCH nicer. I don't notice the field of view difference even from the far side.

We just had our tv installed. It appears dark and not as bright as in the store. The installer adjusted the brightness. ???
I picked up the LG j7700 65" with HDR. The blacks were gray, it had an odd banding at default settings of 50% brightness--so the review sites suggested dropping it to 30%. The blacks were better, but then it was too dark. I spent hours trying to adjust it, then I actually returned it for the Sony 850e--looked EXACTLY like the store. Bright, dark blacks--massive difference. Photos below.

It is open, but the material is too thick (which is good since it is rugged) to reverse project. Besides, the viewable space from the back is only about 70% of the screen size since the blow up border supports part of the back of the screen. But the price and quality is very good.

Buying advice?
I am looking to upgrade router to more solid, stable, reliable, strong signal, good constant speed, no need to reboot, future proof for say ~8years, router. I only have 8-10 devices and 25mbps Comcast connection. I want to upgrade connection to 75mbps and upgrade modem to Arris SB6183, and upgrade router to maximize new situation for long term. Is this X8-ac5300 router my best choice? Is it lot better than X6-ac3200 and other ac5300 and ac3200 routers on market (i.e. ASUS)? Is hardware and firmware really up to speed so I don't have to replace it for long time? I am concerned with some bad reviews regarding need to reboot often and firmware bugs? I appreciate your thoughts.
I was able to pick up the X8 for $10 less than the x6 (price matched) so I picked it up. The x6 "looks" cooler (this looks like a small laptop), but this is faster and even more future proof--but I especially like the extra ports out the back (I use them all). From reading the review, with everything I have currently, there wasn't any noticable speed differences since my devices don't take advantage of everything--but for the apx same price--it was not an issue.
I own the original Nighthawk 7000 which had a few bios updates and was STABLE and easy to configure. So far, this is also STABLE and I had no problems with the setup--seemed identical to the original (and I upgraded to the latest bios as soon as I got it).
