I love the picture quality of this brand! As my older ones go out I am replacing them with Insignia. This is my 3rd one. The 1st one was not a smart tv but the picture quality rivaled that of my expensive Sony smart tv.
The last 2 I purchased are the roku tvs. I think they are great tvs. I love the ease of use and the picture is great. I love the built in roku which is very easy to navigate and you don't have to actually switch inputs. The set up of the tv is very easy. The tv walks you through it as soon as you turn it on. Be warned that it will probably need to update itself right away but it finished very quickly. The only negatives are that I don't care for the "tin sound" of the speaker but that will be a easy fix with a sound bar which I also had to buy for the expensive Sony. This is just me being picky but I also don't like the clicking that it makes when you are navigating roku. I would prefer to be able to mute that. In case you have never used roku before the clicking comes with any roku product so it isn't exactly a negative for the tv brand. There is really nothing else that I found negative to say about this brand of tv. My advise would be to save yourself the money and buy the tv. If you don't like it you can always return it.

This is my second Insignia brand tv. I purchased the 1st one for my bedroom because it was very inexpensive and if it wasn't a great tv it wouldn't really matter that much. I was very surprised at how much I loved that one! It rivals my expensive Sony on picture quality so when I needed another tv I didn't even look at another brand. I chose to go with the roku smart tv this time and absolutely love it! The only negative thing I can think of to say is that the little sound that alerts you when you select tv or Netflix, Hulu etc is rather loud and annoying but I just have to remember to mute it when I make a selection. I wish there was some way to turn off that tone. The roku box attached to my older tv has the same tone so it's not the tvs fault it's a roku thing. It certainly won't stop me from giving this wonderful tv 5 stars.

I have not used it that much yet. As far as the laptop goes..I really like it so far. The only thing I have found wrong is that last night I plugged in a new harmony remote to program it via usb drives and it seems like there is a loose connection somewhere. After starting the sync it worked fine then I would hear a little chime and it told me to plug in the remote. After several times it finally stayed connected. Beware that if you use it without the keyboard you have just a couple of hours battery life. Not a big deal for me. I just keep the keyboard attached and fold it under the screen. It's not too heavy for me. Bottom line is that the machine has fast response and does what I need it to do. My issues are with Windows 10. My last PC was Windows xp and 10 is very different. I'm hoping that after I use it some more I will like it more than I do at the moment. I have an iPad that I use daily. I am still using my IPad more than the laptop. I wanted a laptop that could replace my desktop and the iPad when it finally gets too old. Most of my complaints are with Windows. I didn't realize that there are so few Windows Apps! I was expecting it to be pretty much the same as Apple and android. If Apple had a laptop that functioned as a tablet I may have changed my mind about this laptop even though I am pleased with the laptop itself.

Do you have to upgrade or change your service provider because it's not compatible with their cable service? Like Xfinity.
Since your question is 3 months old you probably already have you answer but just in case...I have dish and it works fine. It's basically a regular tv with built in roku that will allow you to watch streaming services like Netflix and Hulu without having to attach a separate Roku box.
