It's a tad expensive but not if you consider the cost of other alternatives. (E.g. getting another cable box, running wire, drilling through walls, etc.etc.) The directions are fairly straightforward. I was confused as to where to place the IR blaster on the transmitter. There are photos attached as to how to do it correctly. Once i got it setup correctly, the remote in the bedroom controlled the cable box in the living room. Full 1080 HD 50 feet away through two walls.
