Terrific replacement for DSLR

I have been using a Canon 70D with a 24-70 f4L lens with great success for a number of years, yet have become increasingly frustrated by its rather large size. After trying the Canon M5, I decided to give this camera a try. The two lenses that came with the camera work quite well. I did find the 16-50 lens to be quite clear even though the motorized zoom was just a bit noisy. The 55-210 is very crisp until about 175 mm.
The A6000 body coupled with the Sony Zeis 16-70 is nothing short of outstanding, with the overall performance actually being better than my Canon setup. Absolutely perfect for travel.

This is an absolutely outstanding lens, a terrific replacement for the kit lens that came with my T4i. I was considering the Canon EF 24-70mm f/4L lens, however the cost was out of my range (even with the Canon rebate). I must say that I am very impressed with the substantially improved image quality over the kit lens (it is wonderful to have a lens that allows the camera to realize it's true potential). The constant f2.8 aperture throughout the zoom range has made low light photography a real joy. No need to increase the ISO above 400 which is nearly as clear as 100 on the T4i. It is a bit larger and quite a bit heavier than the kit lens. This is a small price to pay as it balances very nicely in the hand and is very well built. A real winner in my opinion!
