A great World War 2 film that takes a unique approach by predominantly being told from Japan's point of view. A must add to any war film fan's collection.
The film is a funny riff on the entire history of the character. My main complaint is the movie kind of forgets its a Lego movie. The Lego Movie was great because actual, physical legos were part of the story and world. This just feels like a normal Batman movie, and building with legos only comes into play once or twice. The movie honestly could have just been a normal animated film and omitted the lego aspect completely. The steelbook has a cool lego design, but artistically its kind of weird that the cover is Batman holding up his mask. Like...ok?
The film itself is a great sequel. The action is turned up a notch, and the story, while starting out as a somewhat repeat of the first film, becomes its own thing and builds on its world. The steelbook looks great, having great colors and imagery.
I got this for a sweet $5 deal. The best thing about this edition is you get the director's cut, which is the better version of this film, as it fleshes out the story.
Physically, a cool shiny slip cover. The movie itself is just ok. Its sad that Jackie is so much older now. Cool to see Chan reteam with the director of Rumble in the Bronx.
