I use my 1tb conventional hard drive as storage and the Toshiba Q-series SSD as my boot drive with Windows 7 OS and all my other programs. Appears to be over 50% faster to boot and load programs. I would expect it to be even faster with Windows 8.1.

Will Toshiba Q Series 256GB SSD drive fit my Toshiba Satellite L455D- S5976?
Should be an awesome SSD for your rig. You will need to use the enclosed spacer for it to fit into the bay.
