The case is a great Otterbox product as always, but the transparency leaves more to be desired. Sure, you can see the color of your phone through the back, but finer details (like the serial number) are a little obscured due to the hint of cloudiness of the material, which borders in translucent rather than completely transparent.
If you're looking for a good protective case that covers the back, sides, edges, and corners of your case, this is great. If you're looking for absolutely crystal clear transparency, this is not 100% transparent.

Is this case completely clear? Does it yellow after time?
I can answer part of your question. I don't know whether it yellows over time (though the packaging claims it won't) but I know the case is 90% clear making it translucent rather than completely transparent. It's good protection though, which is what you'd expect from the Otterbox brand.
