A tremendous band of badass heroes fight to protect the universe's very last star from a mysterious evil in this next-gen shooter by the creators of Borderlands. To defend it, you'll need to utilize every type of character and weapon you've ever imagined — from cyborg hawkmen to samurai vampires to mini-gun wielding man-mountains. Slash and parry, run and gun, cast and dash, or simply obliterate foes all while building and growing your personal team of heroes. Choose your hero and fight alone or co-operatively alongside friends in story missions, or battle against them in fast-paced competitive multiplayer matches.
Battleborn has been unfortunately overlooked this year. The game has a colorful and varied cast of characters with interesting personalities and background, as well as an entertaining and challenging coop campaign. While the main advertiser draw seems to be the multiplayer, the player base is admittedly lacking, but tight knit. It's a shame other games overshadowed this one this year, because I've found it to be much more enjoyable than I'd been led to believe based on it's reception.
While initially unimpressed with the first season of The Legend of Korra, the show's latter seasons built up to something almost as good as Avatar: The Last Airbender, and a great addition to the franchise.
The legendary David Attenborough created the epic documentary miniseries Planet Earth, which became his pièce-de-resistance. The program plunges into, and canvasses, virtually every aspect of the global ecosphere, from the mountains to the oceans to the flora and fauna, one subtopic at a time - meanwhile reveling in atmospheric cinematography. By any standard, it qualifies as the most successful nature documentary ever shot, selling millions of copies and winning a host of international awards including four Emmys. Attenborough narrates. This box set contains the entire miniseries as it originally aired, plus numerous bonus features.
Planet Earth is a fascinating documentary series that will openyour eyes to just how incredible our planet is from top to bottom. This used to be considered worthy of a showcase demo for the home theater, but the picture quality looks a little dated at this point compared to bluray releases since. It's still worth seeing and owning, regardless.
The producers of Planet Earth explore some truly remarkable creatures and their unique habitats, many of which have never been captured on camera before. Star nosed moles, Zambian bats, and the Vogelkop bowerbird are just a few of the creature's you'll encounter as the filmmakers take viewers to distant continents, using state-of-the-art filming techniques to drift along with migrating elephants, soar through the sky with monarch butterflies, and witness a mating battle (also known as a "heat run") between male humpback whales. A two week visit with some Komodo dragons allows us to witness with striking detail how the mighty, ancient beasts can manage the unique feat of taking down an animal that towers over them in size. The series concludes with a "making-of" special which reveals how the dedicated filmmakers worked for more than four years to deliver a nature series with the power to take your breath away. Narrated by David Attenborugh.
Life is as intriguing and entertaining as Planet Earth, with a focus on some of the more interesting life forms on Earth. The picture quality is improved over the once impressive Planet Earth bluray transfer, and this version has David Attenborough return to narrate, rather than Oprah Winfrey.
Easily my favorite Laika movie, the look of this movie and the setting and Asian influences are all very cool. I would say that, like Laila's other works, the script is a little bit weak, but the marvel of the movie makes up for that. Surprisingly dark in subject matter, I definitely recommend this movie for older children. The sound and video quality are decent, but the 3D presentation feels a bit lacking compared to previous Laika releases. The depth is noticeably diminished compared to the theatrical presentation, but still makes for an enjoyable experience.

Access in-game extras, game modes and additional perks with this Daisy amiibo figure from Nintendo. Tap on the game controller with the amiibo to connect and interact with compatible Nintendo Wii U games such as Super Mario Maker. It stores game data as you play to improve game performance and create a one-of-a-kind Daisy amiibo figure.
I actually haven't found any in game use for this Amiibo, I just wanted it for display purposes because Daisy is my favorite Mario princess. The sculpt is great, and I don't have much more to add than that.

I primarily purchased this for writing using Google Docs and for web browsing. This has thus far turned out to be perfect for that, being light and easy to carry around compared to a more featured laptop or desktop. I've been able to write in bed and on the road well enough. I don't have many complaints for what I was wanting out of this.
While probably not as wholly satisfying as Finding Nemo, Finding Dory presents an equally heartwarming story with positive messaging regarding acceptance and representation for people with mental health issues. The film is gorgeous and the audio and video on the release is excellent. Pixar continues to knock the supplemental features out of the park, once again leaving Disney releases feeling more then a little lacking.
This version of The Force Awakens is easily the (thus far) definitive release of the film, which a more complete and satisfying supplemental offering, on top of the stereoscopic version of the film. The only downside is that the packaging is pointlessly oversized.
