This router is a lot of money but it has a lot of features for an advanced user. For someone that just want's a wifi router get something cheaper. I am using this router with a nas server hooked up with 10gb port on the back of the router so for me its well worth the money.

The wireless work's 95% of the time which is alright, Battery life is good but the biggest issue is they jsut don't feel good wearing them for a long time. The sound is good but not great. I had hyper X before these and the sound was way better but the wireless was something I needed.

I have a Netgear AC1200 WiFi Router with Ring Doorbell Pro and I have Time Warner internet service. Are they compatible with the Orbi AC3000 tri-pak? 2-story Home sq. footage just under 4,000. Thank you.
Yes, but if your looking to just get more wireless converge there are cheaper options. This is meant to replace your router and be the main units through out the house and you can add up to 4 units per setup which is nice. This should be enough for 4000 sq. but with wireless you just never know. There are so many things that effect it example walls, other wireless devices etc. So a lot of it is trail and error and don't believe what they put on the box about how much coverage you can get. They get these numbers by doing testing in a perfect environment.

I have cat5e wired throughout the house. Does it make sense to hardwire both the main unit and the satellite, or will that create two separate main units with two different networks?
This does not work like that. The main unit is the router and the satellite is only an access point. So if you hard wired the Satellite from the main unit the Satellite would still use wireless to talk to the main unit. What this does have is the ability to hard wire into the Satellite which is nice a lot of access point don't have that.
