From the moment I set them up, I was disappointed. I found the sound quality to be below that of the wired EarPods that came with my iPhone 7. Talking on the set was a horrible experience sine the ear plugs completely plugged my ears. When I talked, I hear myself over the conversations. Lastly, the set claims to pair with two phones. It does, but the second pairing was lost as soon as I powered off the headset. It was a real hassle to use this headset. I returned them and waited for the airpods.

Let me start by stating I am giving this TV a 5 because of the price point. Does this TV have the same quality as my Sony XBR? No, it is not quite as pretty, but I didn't expect it to be, so I am very satisfied with it.
I am using it in my den mainly as a 4K monitor for both my Mac and my work Windows laptop. For both applications, it is excellent. The picture quality as a monitor is excellent - at 4K. In 1080, the resolution is pretty grainy - but, again, I bought it for screen real estate.
It comes with a great remote that has actual "INPUT" selection. The TV is pretty thin and has a nice silver finish. I am really pleased with the TV.

So i will start with the negatives:
You do get a little light glare at the base of the set. Honestly, I would have never noticed if not for reading other reviews. Second, the remotes are both kind of clunky. How about a simple INPUT select and thumb pad on one remote? Third, i had a weird thing happen after trying out my Mac Mini on the set (the Mac looked and worked great BTW...), after I unplugged the Mac, the set never was able to come back. I had to unplug the TV and have it reboot to come back and allow me to select another input.
As for positive - the set is gorgeous and takes up minimal space for a 65". Pic quality is fabulous running DVD and Blus from my Oppo 105 Darbe. The packaging and materials are great. Comes with a mounting bracket which is nice. The footprint of the base/stand is small. And while i bitched about the remotes, combined they are sweet. I like the thumb controller. I just think an all in one would be more practical.
Price keeps dropping on this set, so i would recommend grabbing one quick before they are gone!

I purchased the 8040s and loved them so much in my second audio system, I decided to pull the trigger on the 8060s. In my case, bigger was not better - in my home office, the 8060s were huge and just not as enjoyable as the 8040s... However, once i put them out in my large and open loft, these babies sang! You definitely need the breathing room. I started a home theater up there and right now am using an XBOX as my front end. CDs sound great (and I'm an analog guy...). I purchased the A-60 extensions as well. I will be moving to an ATMOS capable receiver soon. I really can't say enough good things about Def Tech speakers.

Does anyone know how to open this unit?
I want to upgrade the hard drive. There are two screws on the back under the top feet but they only partially loosens the screen.
There are videos online and well documented. It is a cumbersome process and not for the faint of heart. Also, you can only upgrade the hard drive. RAM is soldered on the board.
