Roku 3: Access more than 1,500 channels in up to 1080p and view videos from Netflix and YouTube directly on your TV. Fast, powerful and loaded with features, the motion-sensing remote lets you play games or plug in headphones to watch late-night flicks without waking up the household.
I unsubscribed to cable TV and decided to get thus device. I have been a subscriber to Hulu so I can enjoy my normal programming with it. It does not have its own media server service but does have downloadable content that enables streaming shows from your computer (Plex). YouTube, CinemaNow, Flixter, and UltraViolet are not available through Roku services at the moment but hopefully will be added. Streaming media from servers or USB is limited to a couple formats. Still a great device that is a decent enough replacement for someone that spends less than an hour or two per day watching television.
What's great about it: No subscriptions necessary
What's not so great: Limited file compatibility when using USB Media.
