I saw this movie on theaters and have loved it ever since. Might be a little scary at times for younger kids but great for a little older kids. The blu-ray transfer is no better than the DVD which isn't too good to begin with. But I figure the scratch resistance means it won't have to be replaced any time soon. Maybe some day this movie will get the blu-ray special edition that it deserves but until then, this will have to do. At least the price is not much more than the DVD anyway.
Frank Oz's comedy about a needy psychiatric patient comes to DVD with a widescreen transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1. English and French soundtracks are rendered in Dolby Digital Surround. There are no subtitles, but the English soundtrack is closed-captioned. The only extra feature is the original theatrical trailer. This release is sure to please fans of this film -- there is a small cult following around it -- but those that were immune to its charms during its theatrical release are not likely to be won over by this average DVD.
This movie is as funny on the 100th view as it was on the 1st. The conflict between Bob and Dr. Marvin keeps you glued to the screen. I wish they'd release a great blu-ray edition but until then this DVD is priced so nice you really can't say no.
I have loved this movie ever since it came out. It is a great Shakespearian adaptation with amazing actors. Everyone does a great job with their characters. I wish their were more special features but you can't beat blu-ray for the price. It was a must-own for me.
This is the classic you love, just as good today as it was the first time. It looks better than ever on blu-ray and has some great behind the scenes features. At such a low price, this is a must-own.
I always love the Christmas specials. Something significant always happens, usually leading into the next season's events. Looks and sounds great on blu-ray too.
I love courtroom dramas and this is one of the best. Knowing the outcome does not make this film any less tense or suspenseful every time I watch it. Blu-ray also makes this one a must have for great picture and sound. I only wish there were more supplemental features, but for such a great price, I can't really complain at all. I would highly recommend this one.
If you like the other Transformers movies, this is really more of the same with some new faces, both human and robot. But in terms of the blu-ray it really looks and sounds amazing. It also has some good extras that take you beyond the movie like only Michael Bay can. If you own the others, you need this one too.
This is a must own for all Doctor Who fans. I have to admit that I loved David Tennant and so Matt Smith had a lot to live up to in my mind. Anyone in the same mindset just needs to give him a chance, he will earn his place as the Doctor, you'll see. By the time you get to this one you'll not remember why you doubted. Anyway, great special...looks great on blu-ray....and great price from Best Buy.
