I wanted to have a mouse to use with my new Acer Chromebook. I didn't need all the features that some mice provide nor did I need gamer features. Excellent Chromebook: not a laptop

This is my second Chromebook. The first was an HP and no complaints especially regarding the price. Display was only OK, but fine for my wife. I decided to try this Acer, which is a step up. More Ram, more memory, and a much better IPS full HD display. The full HD display does have a couple of issues. Print is very tiny; however, you can scale web sites in the Chrome. Everything else can be scaled with the Cntr + Shift + - commands but this reduces the resolution. One step down from full HD is still very good. IPS has wide viewing angles is a superior display type. Battery life is excellent. Keyboard is fine but keys have a shallow stroke. I prefer using this Chromebook to several different tablets even without a touch screen. Oddly, does not have an SD card slot. Issues. Printing requires a Google Print capable printer and setup can be confusing. Fortunately, my printer is capable. This is not a Windows or IOS laptap so you can not run programs that you may need, such as Photoshop, Quicken, etc.

Wanted the price to be reasonable and the weight and size to be compact but also have room for the bulky charger and possible mouse. This fit the bill. If you are looking for a padded, robust, carrier for rough travel, you probably should at other products.

I decided to try a chromebook as a more flexible portable device than a tablet. A laptop is overkill for my needs. I have never been in the Google universe so it took me a couple of days to become comfortable with OS and software options. So far, I am impressed compared to a tablet for the same or more money. Good keyboard with voice typing. USB and micro sd ports. Fortunately, my canon printer was Google print capable but the setup was a bit confusing. Can't use a printer with just a simple cable connection is a short coming. With a 128 gig USB flash drive, I can access all my music, photos and videos. Sound quality with headphones or Bluetooth speaker is acceptable. Only minor weakness is the screen which doesn't have the snap or viewing angle of a good tablet. Acceptable in lower light.

Given the $100 trade in for an old tablet, I would say it's a good value. Nice size, light, decent battery life, latest version of Android, seems fast enough and responsive, expandable memory to 128 gig (big benefit). Negatives. Low resolution screen makes text slightly fuzzy and almost like old dot matrix print. My old Kindle fire HD trade in was better. This could be a deal breaker. Suggest looking before buying. Video looked ok. Screen is also a finger print magnet

Plenty of storage for overwhelmed tablets, phones. Transfer data from PC using USB to micro cable. Seems to be USB 2 rather than much faster 3. App for Apple and android seems to work fine with music, pics, and down sized video. Strangely pic quality with Apple on iPad is reduced compared to the same file on the iPad. Also, some android devices may need another video app to play some videos.

Good value & ok videos

For $199, this camcorder provides a lot to like. Video quality is good but the sharpness on a 55 inch hd tv is not quite as good as my vixia m41 with a pro cmos sensor and better lens. The touch screen is like smartphone and is almost a necessity. I did have set the backlight to high and brightness to low to obtain a viewable screen. Brightness alone just washed out the image. The smart auto setting works well and there some other controls available in the P mode. The powered IS is buried in menu rather than a handy button.

Adds wifi to cameras

I wanted to add wifi to a camera and this does just that. Transfer pics to my phone and tablet by using the app and switching wifi to the eyefi card. Only drawback is the photos are all transferred which can be slow and consume space in short supply.

I wanted to upgrade my USB drives from the slower 2 to 3 with a new PC . Also, wanted few drives laying around. This fit the bill nicely. Only, drawback is the formatting limits the size of a single file to about 2 gigs or so. Only an issue with longer HD movies I create.

what is the battery and sound quality of this tablet?
Haven't timed battery life but seems decent and easy to recharge with portable battery pack. Sound is just ok with one small speaker. Headphones needed for serious listening
