Which amp should I buy?
I recently bought the Rockford Fosgate P3L-S12 (12" shallow sub enclosed in a truck box.) I am having a hard time figuring out what amp to buy. The sub is 400 RMS, 800 peak power. I found a 500w mono RF amp (R500-1)- 320w at 4 ohm, 500w at 2 ohm. I also found a Kenwood mono 1800w for about the same price (KAC-9105D) -500w at 4 ohm, 900w at 2 ohm.. I've always heard bigger is always better, but I'm new to car audio and I don't know if it's true here too. I didn't know which one would be better, and what it would do to my vehicles power, fuel milage, etc.. It's going into a 4cyl S10 if that helps any.
Bigger is not always better find something that matches RMS. U will get a longer life from ur speaker

Do I need an amplifier to drive my car speakers?
I will be installing two 3-way car speakers in my car rated at 100RMS, 300W peak and the other ones are 2-way speakers rated at 60W RMS, 180W peak for my front doors, both are rated at 2 ohms. Since I have a car stereo which have 22W RMS x 4, 54W x 4 peak, can my car stereo able to properly drive those speakers? or do i need an amplifier? If I need an amplifier, how much wattage per channel should I be looking for? Please reply!
Personally I would go with a 250*4
