What are the dimensions of the subwoofer? Can it be placed in my cabinet with a glass door or does it have to be out exposed for the sound to work best?
The subwoofer is the height is a small speaker but is long. It is about 15 inches long and sits about 18 inches high. It probably wouldnt doh in a small cabinet it would be better to have it sit out. Its very attractive looks like a speaker. I wouldnt cover it up. Very well made and heavy for a speaker. If you are planning on putting it in a cabinet I would go look at it in store before you go to the expense if you were thinking of putting it in a cabinet. It's really attractive. Hope that helps.

We have 2 Samsung UN40J520DAFXZA and have trouble hearing dialog. (old age?) Movie and TV background music and SFX overwhelm the words and we must use max volume. Is there a Sound Bar that will allow me to make dialog louder than music and effects?
This soundbar will solve all your volume problems. I spoke with Samsung and all the bigger and newer tv's don't have a high volume which almost forced us to get a sound bar to get the volume we are used to. This soundbar set is awesome you won't be disappointed. My boyfriend can't hear in one ear and believe me he CAN hear with this.

I was told by a salesperson that the subwoofer had to be placed at most within 30 feet of the soundbar. Can the subwoofer be placed in an adjacent room, if it's within that distance?
