It was a typical movie of its type. However, the plot was a bit slower than I had expected. Part of the family gave up watching halfway through. I stuck through to the end, and it wasn't horrible, but it's not a classic like Totoro.
I was hoping for more comedy and more of a plot line surrounding pets while their owners are away. Instead, I got an archetypal adventure story of two unlikely friends.
This multi-disc release collects every episode of Quantum Leap the long-running series about a time-travel experiment that goes wrong, sending physicist Sam Beckett (Scott Bakula) back in time, where he assumes other people's identities and helps to resolve the crises of his new hosts.
When you are purchasing a boxed set, you hope for a high-quality product. Maybe something with a collectible box or special features. This product really had neither. The box is flimsy andthe disks seem just shoved in in order to fit in as small of a space as possible. I also was highly disappointed in the fact that this product does not have captions. I bought this for my husband who is hard of hearing, and there are no caption options whatsoever, so he basically cannot even use the product and we can't really return soemthign that we have opened. For a recent release of a show that has been around for awhile, the company could have done so much better than this.
Average about sums it up. I was surprised that this took so long to ship, but I was please with the price. It's definitely cheaper to invest in DVDs like these than to purchase subscriptions to online exercise content.
Usually, I find children's movies a bit blase: same tired tropes and surface-level humor with little left for a grown-up audience. While this movie had those moments--the Shakira video was not all the inspiring with its tired message--it had more twists and turns than I had expected.
