Okay 1st. This director movie and its cast are flaw-LESS! Now 4k talk. This movie is a lot of deep darks and muted color schemes mostly Mexico and night shots. The black levels are what really pops here and detail in clothing sweat and pores as well as city scapes at nite. Beautiful and cheap for 4k
Ok. I liked Kong Skull Island much more than the average viewer. I like it when a movie just gets to it after a good cast intro. It was loud colorful n fun and 10X more so in 4k When I watch peter Jacksons Kong I skip to 50 mins in. Not so here.
Having owned the editions I wanted before, in blu steel book, the ONLY reason to grab this is the bluray unrated version not previously available in blu. This is THE version of the film and makes it feel much more die hard with blood and motherF@&$&@'s dropping.
While the picture is night and day improvements over any other past iteration the movie seems to have lost any sizable impact on me as a horror film. It was nice to see it look so clean but afraid may never watch again until maybe my child old enough
My favorite western of all time get the delux 4k treatment and it does NOT disappoint. Warner brothers has not always been so reliable on 4k see goodfellas. But here...stunning
