Great entry or mid-level Gaming PC

This laptop looks like a high end gaming device, with the cool keyboard that lights up, and contoured keys. The hot red glow highlights all the key symbols, plus some of the "hot keys" even have red borders to make them stick out even more.
When the device is closed, the giant cooling vents in the back make this thing look like it was modeled after a Lamborghini Aventador.

The screen is an IPS screen, so images on it are easy to see from almost any angle. It's only 1080p, but for the size of the screen, I think that is sufficient for most any game. It does however come with an HDMI output, so you can hook up a second monitor or HDTV. When selecting to output only through the HDMI, 4K results are possible.
I played "Portal 2" with absolutely no lag, or issues, the game ran flawlessly. So I then decided to put this laptop to the test with "Witcher 3: The Hunt", it ran very well under the regular settings, 50 to 60 FPS with reliable performance. I was able to output to my 4k Samsung HDTV, the picture looked amazing, but my FPS took a small dive. I was able to hold 30ish FPS on 4k output with medium to lower game graphic settings. While this laptop unfortunately can't handle all graphic options on the game maxed out, it can definitely play smooth with a good mix of some higher settings, and some lower(like number of enemies, and such..)
To get the best performance for your games make sure that your "power options" in windows settings, are set to "high performance" for both battery and plugged in mode.

As with most Windows PC's I was able to just plug one of my XBOX ONE controllers into the usb port and use it without effort, (plug and play). You can also activate the "game mode" by pressing the "X" logo on the controller, or with the "windows key + G" on the keyboard. Activating game mode, can increase the games overall performance and give you options for broadcasting or recording your game.
Also, just to note, as with most newer laptops, this device does not come with an optical drive. So all of your game installations will have to either be downloads, or by an external usb DVD/CD drive.
This device also comes with a few perks from ACER, "Acer collection S" tries to give you a customized suggestion of additional software for your use, and "Nitro Sense" which gives you direct access to cooling fan manual/auto adjustments, and power options. "Care Center" is a great tune up utility where you can keep your pc running lean. Radeon also gives you access to your GPU with an excellent settings app, that lets you change virtually everything about how your games run.
Overall this is a very capable GAMING LAPTOP, you should be able to play pretty much everything you want, depending on the display quality, and complexity of the game. Very High performance games can still play great, but with reduced output setting.

Great all in one printer

I have used Brother printers for years, and they have always seemed to deliver great quality at a slightly lower cost than some of their other brand name counter parts.
This printer comes with a telephone jack for faxing, plus usb port , and internal wifi adapter for connecting computers and mobile devices.
This was a breeze to connect to my wifi, using the touch screen on the front of the machine.
I also had no problems downloading their app on my phone and printing a few 4x6 photos, directly from my photo gallery.
The pictures looked great, excellent clarity and color, with borderless printing. It seemed to take a little longer than some other photo printers to print, but this still did it with great results.

I also printed a few pictures on regular paper, these results were as expected, the pictures were recognizable, just a little blurry. I was more so curious to the print times for text and images, these again seemed to be a little bit longer than expected, but with great results for the text. I printed the text in a reduced size, and even that was impressive, I couldn't believe it was legible. (see image**)
The automatic document feeder and dual sided printing are great features to have at such a price. I also like that you can keep regular paper and photo paper in the tray at the same time, but just slightly bummed that the machine does not switch between these two medias on it's own. Someone has to manually slide the tray into position for the machine to grab the right papers, when switching between the 2 different types of media.
The ink cartridges load at the front right corner of the machine, just match up the colors, and they slide right into position, locking when placed all the way in. Very easy to install.
Overall this printer would be great for any small home office, or personal use. It provides everything that anyone would need, and does it very well.

great coverage and performance

This is the second set of Velop nodes that I have added to my home network.
These hooked up to my network in just a minute or two. It was extremely easy to just open the Linksys app, and select "Set up a new product". From there the app pretty much does everything for you, and in no time, you have just enhanced your wifi.
The other great thing about some of these Velop mesh units/nodes is that they come with 2 ethernet ports (keep in mind , not all do). They are actually great for turning your WIFI signal into a wired connection, for devices that don't have a WIFI card, but do have an Ethernet port. This was perfect for me to get internet to one of my older XBOX consoles, and a network printer. Both devices were made with only RJ45 connections (ethernet ports).
So far I have been more than pleased with my coverage and the performance of my connected devices. I have noticed that a few of my nodes will go into a rest mode, when they are not in use. Their light starts flashing a reddish color. (this is normal). As soon as they detect that a nearby device needs that connection, they perk right back up.

Solid performance with minimal tweaking

My previous router was located in the center of my house, with most devices getting sufficient data streams. However two of my gaming consoles(on opposite corners of the house) had choppy coverage, with much slower throughput.
I used the Linksys app to set up my Velop WIFI , it guided me through every step, extremely easy to follow. I added all my nodes, to extend my current coverage.
*****Keep in mind that the other nodes, work as repeaters to extended good coverage further. If you place the extra nodes at the edge of your current WIFI area, you will only be repeating a choppy poor signal. However if you pull those nodes a little closer to the source, where they are getting a higher quality signal, you will be repeating that high quality signal, and most likely your devices that were previously suffering on your network, should be enjoying a higher quality signal.*****

this worked out very well for one of my corner of the house consoles. The other console was still receiving lower speeds. I had placed the nodes in the best available locations based on my houses layout, but there was a stairway in between that was causing a lower connection speed. I was easily able to fix this by prioritizing that console on the network. All I had to do was select this option in the Linksys app, and everything has been fine since, with very consistent speeds.
So, if placed correctly, these units can deliver very reliable performance, especially with the added features of the app.

The double brush rollers are very good at what they do, the vacuum had absolutely no problem picking up loose debris and cereal(my kids usually drop), on any surface. I was actually very pleased with how good it cleans hardwood and tiled floors. The hose is very easy to click out, and run along the edge, to pick up the few stragglers that the roller just can't reach.
The battery feels like the heaviest part of the vacuum, I was a little disappointed by the 30 minute average run time, but for most purposes I think that will be fine, as the suction and rollers work great to get virtually everything, with the first pass.
It's nice that when you separate the canister from the rollers and stand there is a flexible hose that can be used with the accessories, offering a greater range of uses, like on; stairs, ceilings, shelves, cars, etc...
I was also a little disappointed that there were no clips or handles to affix the accessories to the vacuum. So, I keep them in a separate bag in the closet.

As I stated earlier the rollers do great at grabbing everything from the floor, but proved to be a little problematic in one room of mine, where the cats have created burs in the rug. 30 seconds on that rug, and the roller was jammed up, as it pulled a bur, and sucked a large strand of carpet fiber into the rollers. It was easy to remove the carpet strand, but I think I will definitely be avoiding that room with this device. A lot of the other vacuums by Shark and other companies offer new snag free rollers, but then again, those rollers don't provide the grabbing power and polished floor look , that these brushes offer.
Overall this vacuum offers great flexibility being cord free, and convertible from floor stand to just canister. The canister is easy to empty and has a washable filter. The suction is great, and even offers a suction boosting button, for bursts of extra suction.
It even offers 3 different options on how you can charge the battery( 1 option needs additional purchase)
The battery makes this device a little heavier than expected, but worth the sacrifice for the cordless features.

very fast, great performance

This Chromebook is a little heavier than my other chromebook, but for the performance and features it's worth it.
I love that the keyboard lights up, and that the keys have a very sturdy feel. Not only is there light provided under each key, but there is also light behind the symbols. Most helpful, as usually there is never enough light to see everything that I'm typing otherwise.

The screen really does look nice, the color, resolution, and contrast make this screen really pop out. It looks great. Plus with being an IPS screen the viewing angles are very good, the screen graphics are recognizable at virtually any angle.
Benchmark tests were very impressive as well, it got ratings of 157 on speedometer, and 35054 on Octane. These numbers were ,more than 3 times as good as my last Chromebook( which I just got earlier this year).
All in all, I am very satisfied and impressed with the quality, and performance of this Chromebook. The battery is only at 80% after a couple days of light to medium use. The sound is more than adequate for my needs, it's actually pretty load for a chromebook or pc.
I have absolutely no complaints about this device, it has surpassed my expectations.

Believe it or not this compact vacuum can clean just as good as most full size units. While it doesn't have the exact suction as some of the higher end uprights, it does a great job.
I vacuumed my rug yesterday in one of our high traffic areas of the house, the rug didn't look that bad, so surprisingly there was more dirt in the dust cup, then I would have figured.
I immediately ran over the same areas with my full size vacuum, and got hardly any dirt in the canister. This Shark did a great job with it's first run. I also love the "tangle free" roller, no snags or pulls on any of my rugs, and no hairs wrapped around the roller either.

Because this unit is so light, it's easy to just whip around the house and keep a fast pace. Plus the roller head has the most versatile pivoting head I have ever seen, and it's the perfect width to run between the legs of all my chairs, so I hardly have to move anything.
This compact vacuum even comes with some attachments.
I particularly like the tiny wand for cleaning electronics, and pc keyboards, it works very nice, especially with the slide down brush on it, to help loosen particles in between the keys.

I also decided to see how easy it would be to remove the floor extension, and vacuum my car with just the handheld unit, and attachments. I would have liked a flexible house to go between the attachments and the vacuum, but I was able to clean the car back to "like new" condition, the rugs looked awesome, and with the tiny wand I was able to remove all the dust around my radio and instrument panels, (this worked awesome).
My only complaint about this vacuum is that the roller head seems to make more noise than the vacuuming motor itself. But the unit does come with a power switch that lets you run the vacuum with power to the rollers, or without( for bare floors).

This vacuum is one of the first vacuums I've used with the "tangle free" roller, this feature is a dream come true. My cats are constantly digging at my rugs, creating little snags all over the floor in their room. When I would vacuum that rug with my old vacuum, I would constantly have to stop, and pull out large strands of rug, that the cats had pulled up just high enough to get stuck in the rollers. Vacuuming that room has always been a hassle, because either I was pulling apart the rollers afterwards, or I would have to get the extension wand and go over any potential "problem" areas, and take my time trying not to unravel more of the rug.
Yesterday, I put this vacuum to the test, I ran over every inch on that rug, and not one tangle, or pull. My rug was completely fine, and very clean to boot.

The suction is very strong and seems to be pretty constant no matter what the filled capacity of the dirt canister was. (5-stars here)
I also love that this comes with several LED lights on the roller housing , and there is even one on the extension wand - so very helpful, makes finding the dirt even easier !
Everything about this vacuum is designed for convenience, the pivot angle of the roller head is pretty awesome, it makes for getting around chairs and obstacles a breeze. Quick releases for the extension hose, and attachments, make it easy to grab dirt along the edges, without wasting time getting back to the rest of the rug. Plus, it's definitely lighter than my older vacuum.
So overall this has great vacuuming results, especially as I haven't seen one hair or carpet strand get snagged at all on the roller. It has an easy to empty dirt canister and great user friendly features!

This monitor is great for general purpose. The refresh rate is 5ms, suitable for most apps, including some games. Other hard core gamers might want to get something with a 4k resolution and 1 or 2ms refresh rate.
The colors are pretty rich and vibrant. I like to do a lot of photo editing, and the color output seems pretty natural, without any adjustments.
The other thing to keep note of, is that this monitor comes with only 2 inputs, and both are HDMI, which is fine for most modern computers, but if your computer only has a traditional VGA output, you will have to look for other options.
However, because this monitor does have 2 HDMI outputs, it can be used as a second tv for a smaller room with a spare cablebox/streaming device, or a video game screen for non 4K consoles.

Super easy with great tasting results

this unit comes with a very easy to read digital display and button layout. It is a bit on the heavier side, but that is OK, because it actually adds to the higher sense of quality. The side handles are big enough to easily grab, but not too intrusive.
I would have to say the only draw back, is the fact that this unit actually has 2 different lids. BUT, the fact that this can pressure cook and air fry , all in the same unit is awesome. It’s a small sacrafice for these features, and results. The air fryer lid is actually hinged to the main unit, so you will never lose that piece. I actually just leave the pressure cooking lid on top of the unit, when not cooking. it actually works out just fine, as I end up using both, most of the time for my cooking.
I was so happy to clear up some counter space, by getting rid of my other 2 separate cookers.
Plus the results of the cooked food actually seem better.
when I would air fry with my other device, the results were never as crisp as how this unit gets them. The chicken skin actually looked and cracked like it was deep fried. Super crispy on the outside, and juicy on the inside. My other air fryer just use to give everything a toasted look, and kinda dried most stuff out.
My family could not stop raving about how good the chicken was, that we've had it 3 nights in a row! From frozen to plate in less than half the time of an oven, with much better results!
Even if you are not looking for a healthier way to cook food, this machine is worth it, because everything tastes so amazing you don't feel like you are sacrificing anything!
