catches everything

This is a very sensitive security system, under the default settings.
it seems to record every type of movement in it's field of view.
Arlo offers many customization and surveillance features;
The ability to talk and listen through the cameras
an emergency siren can be activated from your smartphone or computer
e911 can be set up to notify 911 with an emergency at your address,
or you can notify a friend or neighbor, so they can check on your house.
you can set up activity zones from the camera's view to get direct notifications for any movement in just those specific areas.
a library of events can either be accessed from the online storage, or a micro SD card(loaded into the camera), to view previous video recordings. all videos record sound as well.
You can set up night vision to either include the spotlight, when movement is detected, or just infrared vision. (which has a limited distance, anything over 10 to 15ft, requires the spotlight or an additional light source) color vision doesn't work with the infrared.
- in low activity areas the camera's battery can last up to 3 to 6 months.
A magnetic base and camera make mounting and positioning a breeze
( lets you angle the camera in virtually any direction)
three different camera views are available to accommodate small or large areas - full 120degrees, wide 155degrees, and super wide 180degrees. with advanced dewarping to give you a more natural look.
One of the best features is the ability to log into your cameras at anytime to check on your house, with a live video and audio feed. You can also give access to other family members, so they can have their own logins as well. The video quality is pretty good, and any area of the video can be zoomed into for a better look.
with all the features, and ease of use, especially the super easy installation of a wireless camera with a magnetic base, and up to 10 cameras. This security system is pretty much perfect for a quick need, or just someone that doesn't want tons of extra wires run all over their house.
However, I did notice a few drawbacks after a week and a half of use.
The Auto tracking feature is really a nice touch, when their is only 1 subject in view, and a smaller area is being covered by the camera, otherwise when the camera digitally zooms in on the motion, other objects and areas are cut out of the view. So, if you are covering a large area, turn off the auto tracking, so you don't lose potentially important background footage.
Also, make sure that you don't position your camera where there is a lot of objects that will constantly be waving around in the wind. My camera was recording clips every minute, because of part of an awning flapping in the wind.
When I placed a camera in front of my house, I was amazed at how incredible the 180 degree field of view was, the 1 camera was able to cover virtually all of my front yard. I set up 2 activity zones, 1 for my lawn, and 1 for my driveway (on the same camera)
the zones worked great, as I got notified anytime movement was detected in those zones, however they should also offer an "ignore" zone, because when I went back and viewed all my recorded video clips, the camera had captured every vehicle that was going down my street. I didn't get notifications for these recording, which was good, because it was not in my designated zones, but it wore my camera battery down very quickly. I had to charge my camera after one and a half weeks of such intense use.
I was also a little disappointed that the infrared night vision, only worked with such a small distance, but that can be easily rectified by using the built in spotlight, or other lights around your house
It's also a good idea to order extra batteries and a charging base, so that when you get the notification for a low battery, it can be changed quickly, and the camera can be immediately returned to service , or get the solar charging unit for even less maintenance.
overall, I'm pretty impressed with the system, and it's features.
I just really hope they include a "non-activity" or "ignore zone", to weed out unnecessary recordings, and also a minimum time recording feature for detected motions. I noticed that in some of my recordings, I would have liked it to have recorded another 5 or 10 seconds after the last motion was detected.
Both of these suggestions could easily be added in a system update, and really improve the battery life and motion captures.

Comfort, Quality, Precision Sound
on June 13, 2019

First off, I would like to comment on how durable and light this headset feels. They have managed to put two opposing attributes together and make it work. Most of the time when you get something that is so light, durability is sacrificed, and typically when high durability is achieved it's bulky.
Astro has brought together high quality aluminum and plastics to make a very comfortable, lightweight, and strong headset capable of putting out tournament quality Dolby sound, with an easy to use and convenient MixAmp. The MixAmp has 2 easy to access dials for volume and voice vs game levels, and a passthrough or Dolby audio button . It has 4 preset equalizer options for Astro, Balanced, Flat, and Tournament sound settings. The MixAmp has several input methods, to use on virtually any console or PC, including optical, usb, and 3.5mm. The amp has a dedicated stream port, and daisy chain ports as well.
The headset can actually be customized through the Astro website, where you can order customized speaker covers, cushions, headband covers, and mic. You can also order synthetic leather noise-isolating ear cushions, voice-isolating mic, padded headband and closed-back Speaker Tags. The great thing is that the ear cushions and speaker covers are held on by strong magnets, so changing or cleaning these parts is a breeze.
With all the effort that Astro put into the quality and customization of the aesthetics, they put just as much effort into the sound quality.
Sounds, voices, and in game music are loud, clear, and extremely easy to pinpoint direction on a 360 basis. Explosions have good impact while voices can still be understood. It's always impressive to hear all the tiny additional sounds coders put into the games, .. ie, mice, flies, birds, and even the wind. All things most people miss without a good headset.
I really like how none of the audio controls are anywhere on the actual headset, the mute is easy to access on the cable, and everything else is on the amp. I hate having to fumble around with a headset that has everything on the actual ear cups, so most of the time, I have to take off the headset to find the mute, or other options, because my fingers can't feel the difference between the delicate buttons.
Great job Astro, on such a great sounding, solid headset!

Great sound for the price!
on June 12, 2019

These headphones are a very convenient size, which is a little smaller than some of my other pairs, making them easier to fit into a front backpack pouch or something similar, as the speakers pivot , creating a flat profile.
The sound is not like a Dolby stereo system, but it is very excellent for the price range it's in. The volume offers a great range, with a max setting that is way too loud for my comfort. All sounds are very clear, and easy to distinguish. At the normal setting, the bass is actually pretty good, however there is an added "bass" button to push out just a little more impact if desired.
The ear cups seem a little small, but still very comfortable. The headband lacks the added cushion that more expensive versions offer, yet it is not even noticeable while wearing them.
Overall this set, is actually very comfortable, lightweight, and easy to carry around. It syncs very easily, and has conveniently sized buttons for all features. Calls are very clear, and music sounds great.

super fast & durable

This thunderbolt cable offers high speed data transfer rates and charging with COMPATIBLE devices.
Make sure that your devices connected to the cable are Thunderbolt 3 compatible, to get the advertised maximum speeds.
But don't worry, if your current devices aren't Thunderbolt 3 ready, you can still use the cable for transfers and charging, however the transfer speeds will be limited to the capabilities of the connected devices.
the cable itself is much thicker than most usb cables, yet it is still very pliable. The construction feels very sturdy, and durable.
The advertised max data speeds are 40Gbps which is pretty impressive considering what original usb cables were capable of.
Just to clear something up though, the "Gbps" means Gigabits per second, not GigaBytes. (A small letter "b" indicates bits, where as "B" indicates Bytes.)
Most companies including cell phone companies and internet service providers use the term "bit" in there advertising,..ie.. 10Gbps or 10Mbps.
This is because when sending data, the data is broken down to the smallest increment available, hence bits. Because data varies in size greatly, it is easier to deal with the lowest common denominator for transmissions. Which can be a little misleading for most consumers, as most consumers are thinking about what they know, as in storage devices and Bytes.
When we are talking about hard drives and storage capacities everything is measured in Bytes, as in GigaBytes or MegaBytes.
a bit is 1/8th of a Byte. So technically a 40Gbps transfer speed could move 5GigaBytes in one second, if all the correct requirements are met.

Holds great!

This magnetic car mount actually holds your phone, or similar sized devices very well. The magnet is strong enough to keep everything in place , even over bumpy roads. I use a Galaxy Note 8, which is one of the larger types of cell phones, and I had no issues with my device sliding off, or even down while in use.
Actually the entire mount is very well constructed with a smaller profiled magnet than some of the other mounts out there. I like this because it allows more of my radio and clock to show, when not using my phone.
The pivot point on the small arm, is very snug. It was not too difficult to position for the best viewing angle, and held up great.
They even included a quick clip for locking it into the CD drive.
The mount also comes with a few different sized metal mounting plates, to be installed to the back of your phone or case. It even has a clear sticker to go between your phone and the plate, to avoid any scratching or markings into the back of your phone over prolonged use.
I actually just placed the metal plate between my phone and it's case, and it worked just fine, without the adhesive. obviously if you have a very thick case, you will most likely have to apply one of the sticky plates to the exterior of your case for proper usage, of the mount. However, some cases actually have a little bit of metal, that will work just as good as the included plates.
Overall this mount is very sturdy, and will hold any phone, or small device into place, at the angle you choose, with no problems at all.
I love how easy it is to install, and how strong it is at holding the phone and it's position!

Works great

This wireless charging pad, works great. I have a few different Qi enabled phones, and all of them were able to charge easily with this pad.
All phones were able to use their fast charging mode, even through their cases.
-- The manufacturer does not promise charging with cases above 3mm of thickness. It also is not recommended, and will most likely not work with any cases that have any form of metal in between the phone and charger pad. Any metal left between the two "could" result in potential hardware failure, so make sure to remove those parts before charging.
The charging pad also has a tiny LED indicator to let you know if you have a good contact or position for optimal charging by displaying a white light, and a yellow light for bad. It even has a foreign object detector, to avoid sending out a charging signal unnecessarily,
The charging pad is universal and auto sensing with up to 10watts of charging power, to deliver fast charging to any of the current Qi enabled phones on any OS.

excellent audio clarity
on May 9, 2019
Posted by: Aaronxx7
from central new york
The sound clarity through this headset is some of the best I have ever heard. So good in fact that, I have actually heard background noises in music that I never knew was there before. I have also been able to understand lyrics that I could never make out before, and was to lazy to look up.
The sound is very clean, and easy to hear specific directions with surround sound and higher channels. The audio in music actually sounds like each instrument or device has it's own separate channel, as opposed to just being a mix or blend of noises in one stream.
The volume doesn't seem to get as high as some of my other headsets, but it can still reach a level that is too loud for my liking.
The bass also does not create that heavy or hard ear shattering effect that some people might like, however it is very adequate and gives you more of a natural feel and depth. All the different types of music that I listened to, sounded great on this headset.
It syncs very easy with a phone, and even has an app to help you adjust your listening preferences based on 4 profiles, for commuting, public, private, or "My Moment" . you can change the EQ for each profile, from a preset, or custom. and select between the profiles, as needed, or put the headset into active "SmartSound" mode, where it listens to your background noises, and automatically switches the profiles for you. The other advantage to these profiles is that you can also have the ANC mode enabled or disabled, depending on your environment. Like when sometimes it's important to hear the people around you, and when you'd rather cancel out the unnecessary transit noises in the background.
The ANC can also be toggled manually via, a button on the left ear cuff. Actually, all the buttons and controls are very easy to access, and are actual buttons that you can feel, to know where to press, for the function you want. Controlling the headset is very easy because of this.
I've used this headset for a couple days now, with what I call moderate use, and the battery is still above 50%, so kudos on creating a comfortable headset you really can wear for hours at a time without having to stop to recharge or take an ear break.
Call quality is just as good as the music quality, nice and crisp.
I have also noticed that these have a pretty good Bluetooth connection distance as well, I was able to go 2 rooms away from my phone, and still hear my music.
So, overall the quality of sound, comfort and features from this headset would be hard to beat.

good novelty camera
on May 4, 2019
Posted by: Aaronxx7

The ivy cliq+ is a FUN camera
with some great features. There are actually a lot of nice features to this camera, that I will try to comment on.
The ivy cliq+ is an 8mp digital instant print camera, that uses a special type of film/paper called "Zink" papers. The cool thing about this paper is that it is very similar to the old instant film cameras. There is no additional ink or print supplies needed to buy, just the paper. The camera can hold 10 sheets at a time. The other neat feature of this paper is that it also doubles as a sticker, just peel off the backing and stick anywhere. The adhesive is actually pretty good. The prints are also smudge, water and tear resistant. I dowsed one section of one of my prints in water, and also tried to tear it. The prints never smudged, but did get left with a water mark type stain on the picture, that isn't terribly noticeable. It also took several attempts at trying to tear the print with moderate effort. only once did I actually rip the print, the other times, the paper just warped and stretched. So really a good job on how durable these prints are.
So lets talk about the picture quality of the prints. The camera is 8mp, so technically you could print up to an 11x14 photo, but with the instant printer you can only print up to a 2x3 print, for obvious reasons. However if you insert a micro SD card into the camera , you can bring that card anywhere to print larger photos of your favorite pics. The pictures saved to the SD card are actually pretty good quality with detail, contrast and color. However when printed off the camera, some details are missed, I noticed a lot of prints came off looking overexposed, even though the digital image was not. The printer prints at 314x600dpi, which is pretty good for the size of the printer. I am including a picture comparison of images taken directly from the camera and printed vs images taken from my smart phone, and then printed via the cool "mini print" app, that Canon has available in the app store. The pictures on the left are directly from the camera, the left top is with the flash, left bottom is without the flash. The pictures on the right were taken with my phone (non edited) and printed directly to the ivy cliq+.
Oddly enough if you look at the quality of the "digital" pictures taken by the ivy cliq+, and then the prints done from the phone to the printer, the ones from the phone look to print better. The odd thing is, that when you instant print directly from the camera, some of that quality is lost, and there is no way to fine tweak any of the related settings to fix this. Although, the camera is supposed to be more of a simple point and shoot device.
Speaking of that, I have noticed that you don't need to wait completely for your print to finish before taking another picture, you just have to wait till it starts printing, about 5seconds.
My biggest complaint , however, is the fact that even though you can have a memory card inserted into the camera, once you run out of paper, there is no way to take any kind of additional pictures. If they added a button to toggle the instant print feature, so pictures you don't really want printed right now, could still be saved to memory, that would be awesome. There is also no way to preview any of the pictures from the camera before they are printed (hence the "instant" feature, I guess), but still that would be nice if at least they could be viewed on your smart phone before snapping the photo to see if your shot is going to be too overexposed, or blurry.
But to be fair this camera is not marketed as a high end art photography option. It's marketed as a FUN novelty camera that is great to have at parties and any type of friend gatherings.
When using the "mini print" app, you can add a ton of special effects to your photos, like stickers, funny distortions, and lots more. Making your prints even more fun and memorable.
Overall I think this camera is really quite enjoyable with all the features it offers, my kids love being able to stick pictures of our pets anywhere. It's really a cool thing to have, and can't wait to see what features will be added in future models!

Big results from a little machine

This device is actually thinner than I had expected. I almost expected it to have more of a rounded shape, like a shop vac.
It's about 4.5" x 12" x 15" and weighs in at just over 9lbs.
A pretty convenient size for storing in the closet, and small enough to carry around, but still get the job done.
The motor is 3 amps, which delivers enough suction to pick up most of the treated area, leaving a damp clean surface.
I am including a before and after picture of a couch cushion, that my kids had managed to yuck up. As you can see from the pics, the treated area came out nice and clean. Cleaning took about 1 minute, just a few quick passes back and forth with the suction brush. (it took approximately 2 to 3 hours to fully dry the remaining damp area, on it's own)
This comes with an attachment for general cleaning, and a 3 sided stair cleaning tool, that rotates to keep the suction on one edge.
the first side is flat similar to the standard tool, but the other 2 sides are actually pretty helpful with more than just stairs. the second side has bristles and suction in a concave half circle, to go around edges of stairs, cushions or chairs, etc.. and the third side has bristles and suction in a protruding triangle shape, to help you get deep into angled spots, like where the stairs butt together, or along angled edges on your furniture, or in your vehicle.
it even comes with a self cleaning head, that redirects the clean soapy water back into the suction hose, for a quick easy clean up of the machine.
With a 15ft power cord, and 4,5ft hose, searching for a close enough outlet to your spills or stains should not be a problem.
Plus the integrated heater will keep your cleaning mix nice and warm, while you work. Keep in mind that the heater only heats the tank, not the hose, so if you are waiting long intervals to spray the cleaning solution, it will probably be cold, even though the tank is still warm.
Also, keep in mind this is just a spot or small job cleaner. Bissell offers a ton of different cleaning machines and solutions for any situation. So while this might not have the same suction as the more powerful uprights,
for the size, and conveniences, this is a very effective machine, and does a great job.

Nice sound with good potential
on April 22, 2019
Posted by: Aaronxx7
from central new york
First off, I will say that this speaker does put out a high quality sound at pretty high levels, although for the size of the device I expected a little bit more. When compared to another high end speaker I have , that takes up 1/4th the size, the XB72 falls a little bit short in audio richness and volume. Don't get me wrong, the XB72 sounds great, but doesn't reach the same level of bass, and distinct sounds as the other speaker I have. But, to be fair, the XB72 is advertised as a party speaker. with extra bass. The extra bass button does just as it implies by adding some extra boom to the room. With The volume jacked up to about 3/4 max, the vibrations could be felt in the floor of neighboring rooms in my house. So overall, the sound and bass, is pretty good, and should be fine for most people.
Sony has really gone out of their way to try to fit a ton of party features into this line of speakers. The XB72 has a very cool light set up, with multicolored LEDs and a strobe light. The lights can be turned on or off directly from the device. A lot of features can be activated from the top of the unit, which houses the buttons. There are a few tiny lights for some of the buttons, but not all of them, and none of the words or functions are lit up, so in a dark room, you really need another light source to see what you are doing. there is no screen on the device either making it extremely difficult to use some features, like the radio. Having the radio tuner is a huge plus, however navigating to your favorite stations is a pain, when using the buttons on the unit, there is no dial, so it's impossible to move quickly through the channel options, as you have to wait for the speaker to announce what channel is currently tuned in, before you press the button to search the next channel. There is also NO preset buttons on the device, so once you find a channel, there is no way to easily get back to it from the speaker.
So while, it is difficult to access some of the features directly from the speaker, all the control you could want is in the Sony Music Center, and Fiestable apps.
Here you can save 20 radio channel presets, and navigate the full features of the speaker with ease.
However, I must admit that for some reason, I had a very difficult time trying to get Sony's app to "register" with the speaker. It was very easy to connect to my Bluetooth and with NFC, but the app will not work without effectively pairing with a speaker. I could see the XB72 in the app, but every time I clicked on it, the app would tell me I needed to "register" the speaker to use the features. This part took forever. (I have an unmodified Samsung Galaxy Note 8), and finally after about a dozen attempts of uninstalling the app, and unpairing the speaker, I was able to get it working. It was very unclear as to what the issue was, as I had the similar issue with one of my other phones as well.
I had followed the instructions that came with the speaker, but those were kind of limited, as well as anything more detailed on the internet.
Anyway, after getting the apps to work, most everything worked as Sony had advertised. The app has a very cool "DJ" feature where you can effect the current song playing with most of the usual live DJ effects, ie. scratch, drums, audience, voice, phaser, reggaehorn, rhythm, with flanger, isolator WAH and custom EQ controls as well. (all very cool, and fun to use)
you can even change the light up features from the app, including custom colors, and flash patterns. (which is great also, but I personally would have liked to see a light pattern that actually responded and synced with the beat of the music)
The app even has a motion control feature, which lets you control some sound effects as you shake your phone around.
I did eventually try controlling the speaker with 2 different phones, 3 is the max. I was able to play any song of either phone, as I hit the song, but was unable to figure out how to place songs from different phones into the same playlist. Every playlist, and queued song I selected would only play from the current active phone. It would not automatically jump back and forth between phones. (Although, this could be a feature that I was unable to get to work, not sure?)
Like I said earlier Sony really went out of their way to make this a party speaker. You can even daisy chain multiple compatible Sony speakers wirelessly over Bluetooth, or have them direct wired via RCA cables.
I used the RCA cables to connect a few different types of speakers, and it worked pretty good.
There is even a MIC input with volume dial on the back of the speaker for some Karaoke or special announcements.
I especially appreciate the 2.1amp USB port on the back of the speaker that can be used to keep your phone charged. The USB can also use flash drives to play additional music.
Sorry this post was so long, but there is just too much to mention,
like the fact that it even has a built in MIC for calls and accessing google through your phone.
Overall I think this is a very good speaker with some great features!
Hopefully Sony will improve on the app to make it easier to connect to, because all the features are pretty awesome!

Upgrade your home entertainment system with this 24-inch Insignia LED TV. It provides 720p resolution to support crisp, vivid images, and a 60Hz refresh rate for consistent response. This Insignia LED TV's DTS sound technology ensures crystal clear audio and impressive bass resonance, and it's energy-efficient to save you money.

If I use the Free TV key antenna with this TV, will it pick up the signal on its own or do I need additional products

All you need is the antenna, for additional hardware.
However, you will most likely have to go into the tv settings, find the channel options, and do a "scan" for all the channels within your range.
- other antennas offer different amplifications and reception ranges
Also keep in mind, that most antennas are directional, so you may have to point it around to find the best signal strength at different times of the day, based on your area
