Avatar is always evolving their sound, and they've made their biggest progression yet with this album. Do not go into this expecting Hail the Apocalypse 2. It's deeper, quirkier and a lot more complex. Sure, it may not have the same instantly memorable tracks as HtA, but after a few serious listens with headphones you'll find it impossible to get this enveloping concept album out of your head.
