Snappy, Easily hidden, very simple setup

Purchased this as a test bed to try out ROKU. I have an Apple TV and majority of electronics are Apple related. The ROKU really complements my entertainment system very well. The numerous channels available (some only available with authentication of a cable provider, same with WD, Amazon FireTV and AppleTV) . The $49 price is perfect for anyone on a budget or needs an extra streaming media player in a different room. (my main player now). Setup takes a few minutes and you can manage your "Channels" or apps via the computer/net/phone if you like instead of surfing the ROKU Channel guide via the player. Its not slow, many have commented on how slow it is compared to the regular square boxes (Roku 2, HD and 3) Its snappy and quickly loads programs.
Looking to make the leap to a media streaming player, Get the ROKU Stream Stick! VUDU, Blockbuster, Netflix, HuluPlus, M-Go, and lots of other services are available, Free 2 months of hulu and netflix, Free movie credited for VUDU and MGo. Try it all out or just one service. Even has "Daily Burn" for those exercise freaks out there.
I still use my AppleTV for all my movies, as I said before I'm big on iTunes (movies and music) but everything else the ROKU is perfect. Im glad I have both, If you have an AppleTV, get a ROKU. You have the full package!

super smooth design and texture

Picked this up as a spare controller to put away my Day One controller. This one has a very smooth almost silky texture, very comfortable, and enjoy playing without a normal black controller.
Nothing extremely different from the regular besides the paint and texture (no macro, auto fire etc)
Well worth it as a collectable or spare controller. Its only an extra $5 over the regular controller...no problem with the price.

Played the Alpha, Beta and was instantly hooked. Running on walls, double jumping is super fun and a change of pace compared to other FPS'. No blood and guts violence so its not horrible around kids.
There is a campaign its online only and you still advance if your team wins or looses...take that whatever way you want.
Very enjoyable and I can see this has hours of fun that won't get old.

Purchased this to go along with my Day One Edition of my Xbox One. I wanted to no put wear and tear on the Limited Day One 2013 Controller. AS a single player in my household One extra controller was all i needed. USB cable is long enough to reach from TV/XBOX to Couch. Last 4-5days before needing to be recharged. Well worth the money spent.

yes these tings go on and off sale all the time. look for an open box or hold out until they go on sale. Is it worth $179...no. Is it worth $149. Ehhhh. $112 Open Box? YES. My wife already lost one watch, the FIND MY GEAR app doesnt work if its not in Wifi/Bluetooth range. So the first one I wasted $179 on, the second (we still have) got it open box for $112.

does anyone figure out how to get 144hz and 1080p? I tried dvi and I get 144hz , hdmi 1080p but 60hz., display port 1.2 gives 1080p native and 60hz OR 1920x1080 144hz but never both! called Asus 3 times and they are useless! each time different answer
Set your resolution to 1920x1080, that has nothing to do with changing the Video Card settings to 144hz.
Goto Start ->Control Pannel (Settings in WIN10) ->Display -> Advanced DIsplay Settings -> Display Adapter Properties -> Monitor Tab (middle) ->Screen Refresh Rate is a drop down. Select the refresh rate of your choice. Click Apply and OK.
Youll be set.
You can only do one Refresh Rate at a time. (cant do 60hz and 144hz with 1080p at the same time)
If you have 2 monitors, your ASUS 24" will be at 144hz, the secondary will cap at 60hz, no issues.

Will card upgrade my Dell desktop to support a 1920 x 1080 res.? Power supply on machine is small so would this card be compatible?
I have a Dell desktop that I'd like to upgrade. The highest resolution that it currently supports is 1400 x 1050. I'm looking for a way to get it to support a resolution of 1920 x 1080. The machine that I'm looking to upgrade has a small power supply. This card requires 12v @ 16A (whatever that is). Is this the right card for me? I'm not a gamer so I'm not looking for anything super powerful or high-end.
That may only be a limitation of your monitor. some older monitors will only run at 1400x1050 or 1600x900. Id recommend looking up your monitor's specs or getting an updated monitor first. You can always return the monitor if it doesn't fix the 1080 resolution issue.

You would need to purchase a Display port cable. Some monitors come with a DP to DVI or HDMI cable. This one does not say anything in the description.

No the monitor will run off VGA (blue cable) or DVI (white cable) with no issues
