This is the best TV we have ever purchased. We looked at the 8000 but the 9000 seemed to have a bit sharper picture. We could not be happier with the set. Geek Squad did a super job setting everything up and explaining how things worked.

What's the difference between this TV and the UN65MU8000FXZA? Besides a few hundreds more on the 65" CLASS MU9000.

When we looked at the sets at the store, the 9000 seemed to have a bit sharper picture than the 8000. At home, with no other sets competing, the 9000 picture is fantastic. Very sharp and vivid colors. When thinking about having the TV for five or more years, the small difference in price didn't seem that much.
