This dryer was bought because it was the match to the washer my wife and I got. It seems to dry the clothes very well and since it is such a big dryer (drum wise) it handles the large loads of clothes that our washer can handle as well. The only thing that takes time getting used to is all the dry cycles but once you figure out what cycles work for the load you are doing it isn't bad at all. The steam cycles work great too. I had a few shirts that sat in the laundry basket too long, got very wrinkly, so I put them into the dryer with the steam cycle and they came out perfect. They were just normal tee shirts. The only thing I didn't like about that cycle is once it drains the water out of the water tank it says that it needs more water. That is not the case. After calling LG about the so called issue I was told that it says that for the next time you run the cycle so you know to put more water in it, not to put more in for the current cycle. If you are doing a huge load of bedding (comforter, sheets, blanket all in one) you will have to run the cycle twice but for me that was expected especially since its a king comforter and such. Other than the steam cycle issue per se I had, I have not had any issues with this dryer. I would recommend this dryer to anyone that has the matching washer.

By far this washer has the biggest tub I've ever seen. There is only two of us living in our house (my Wife and I) but we tend to only do laundry when we have to and it happens when we have a lot of clothes that need washed. With our old washer we used to have to do a few loads (up to 3) to accommodate all of the clothes but with this one we have yet to give it a true full load. we have washed our bedding with this one and are able to wash all of the sheets, comforter and even a thick blanket in one load. Simply put we can't fill this washer with what we've put in it. I have to admit all the wash cycles takes time to get used to but once you figure out what works for the load you're doing it works great. I also love that it have a dedicated tub cleaning cycle that works great too. We picked this washer because of the large tub size not because of brand but after having LG now for a few month I doubt I would pick another brand, it simply just works great.It does it's job, and it does it's job well. Recommended highly from me and my wife if you have large load laundry to do.

Does it handle heavy duty drying needs?
Such as all-cottong bath mats, heavy towels, etc?
It handles everything my wife and I have thrown at it. Now if it's a huge load you might have to run the cycle twice.
