This release compiles every episode from the debut season of Dr. Who, the sci-fi series following the adventures of a time-traveling alien called "The Doctor" (Christopher Eccleston) and his human companions as they deal with crises set on Earth and other worlds.

Chris Eccleston's turn as the Doctor is often overlooked, but is really worth a view just to see how far the series has come. I personally am a fan of this season and recommend it to everyone starting out with Doctor Who. Although, most people who watch it have already seen this season. It's just great to finally have it on Blu-Ray without having to buy the really expensive box set. I do hope that they continue to release the other seasons like Tennant's run. It would be nice if they did it with the previous Doctors as well.
