This replaced a 12 year old Pioneer RPTV that failed and was about the size and weight of a Smart car, so we had the room for it. Helpful sales staff and smooth as silk delivery. After two weeks with it, we still find ourselves amazed at everything about this set, color accuracy, picture detail and great sound. No need for a sound bar. The difference was dramatic compared to the other sets we saw in Magnolia. Upscaling, even Internet material at low rez was great. Blu ray playback was stunning as was the limited 4K material on the net. If you can afford it and have the room, buy it and don't look back. This is the best electronics purchase I've made in a long time.

Alas, I found out why Sony was giving it away. Almost no 4K content worth talking about. The movies available for download (Sony/Columbia Pictures only) were overpriced and weren't very desirable. Downloading a movie takes about 8 hours with 75M Fios. It worked fine and you can use it to show off 2-4 minute clips of 4K, but that's it. It went back along with the Sony TV.

This Sony BDPS7200 Blu-ray player features UHD 4K upscaling. To build a complete 3D home theater system, we recommend you purchase a 3D TV, 3D glasses designed for the TV, high-speed HDMI cable and an A/V receiver that is compatible with 3D products.

I bought this primarily to upscale blu rays and internet content to 4K. Works nicely with the LG 80 inch 4K set. As with anything else, the better the source material, the better 4K video you get. Blu rays and 3d material look phenomenal.

The better half picked this one for the finish. What makes this stand out is the steel frame and legs. It handle some serious weight. It's on wheels that you can lock down with the adjustable feet. No shake at all. The cherry finish works well with the rest of the media room. Plenty of room behind the doors for the rest of the HT equipment.
