The underwhelming reunion album from ATDI.

What can I say, I was a huge fan of the band back when Relationship in Command was released at the tail end of 2000, the band broke up shortly after and the hopes of them reuniting were unlikely for well over a decade. Then the impossible happened in 2012, then again in 2015 with the surprise announcement of a new album due in early 2016, but the catch being one Jim Ward suddenly deciding to dropout. Although fans were very disappointed, many were able to get past Ward's absence and quickly had their focus of the newly announced album.
Flash forward to the end of 2017 and the first single from the band in 16 years "Governed by Contagions" was released and things were looking good. I personally was hyped, I loved the band as a teenager, as well as the first two releases from Mars Volta and didn't mind Sparta (the weakest of the two IMHO) that much either. Then the album was finally released in May of 2017 and after a few listens, the disappointment set in. I gave the album a fair shot, I sat down with it for a while, listened to it a few times on Spotify and I even bought it on both CD and Vinyl because I was sure that the album would grow on me after spending more time with it.
Unfortunately that just didn't happen and aside from Governed by Contagions, none of the other songs stand out, leaving the rest of the album very forgettable. The spark that they ignited with Relationship of Command just wasn't there, which is understandable since that was 16+ years ago, but that doesn't excuse the fact that majority of the album sounds amateurish. There was no maturity or experience displayed from the different projects they have worked on all these years and instead it very much feels like they were just trying to capitalize off their popularity from way back when.
Maybe their hearts just weren't in it and that's the reason why Jim Ward bailed? Whatever the case may be, it's sad to say that this album can easily be skipped. Maybe they will release another album that can recapture what once made them great, but as of right now this is might have been one band that was better off left in the past.

There isn't much to say really, using a Debit/Credit card for payments on Steam has always been a complete headache for me, so getting a Wallet Card is the best way to go when purchasing from steam, aside from using PayPal. No more unnecessary calls to the bank when purchases get flagged and no waiting periods when trying to use a different card as payment, plus it helps prevent you from going over your budget during the seasonal sales.

What can one really say about Amiibo's? Some see them as gimmick DLC disguised as cheap plastic figures, others seem them as awesome collectibles. The truth is that their true value is held by the individual. I personally love that I can own a small piece of my childhood nostalgia, Legend of Zelda has always been a favorite and I jumped at the chance of grabbing the Amiibo of the all mighty Ganondorf..

Super Mario Maker might seem limited to some at first, but there is great depth to be found with what is provided. This is a solid addition to everyone's WiiU library and especially those who grew up playing the series, they can now live the long awaited dream of creating and sharing those Super Mario Bros. levels they drew in their notebooks at school.
Unfortunately the game didn't come soon enough, this would've been the perfect launch title for the WiiU and likely would've helped the console sell better than it had, Regardless, the game is well worth picking up and is an overall enjoyable experience.
