Adobe Continually Improves Photoshop Elements

I've been a user of Adobe products for over 20 years. I believe they are best-in-class for creative software. I needed to get a new version of Photoshop Elements. I was impressed with the level of improvements they've put into the 2018 version. The icons for editing tools are arranged better and are more intuitive. Pulling new photos into the editing tool is also more efficient.
If you haven't upgraded Photoshop Elements for a while, I recommend this version.

Comfortable with quality sound

I seem to go through headphones quickly as the never seem to last with heavy use. I use them to work out as well as at work. I'm impressed with the comfort level of these Plantronics Backbeat Fit head/earphones. Despite their appearance, they are light and comfortable. The sound quality is excellent as I would expect for a better-quality accessory.
I recommend these to anyone looking for a quality head/earphone.

Great 2-in-1 device with Alexa

I have to admit that I've held off on getting an Alexa device as I use Siri for most of my voice search and smart assistant needs. When I came across the Ultimate Ears BLAST I was able to combine a new wireless speaker to my house along with Alexa.
I've been impressed with the sound quality of the speaker. It connected seamlessly to my home network. Activating Alexa was also easy after I downloaded the Alexa app. This speaker is very portable and it's waterproof which is a great feature when you take it outside.
As for Alexa - there are some things that are better than Siri, but others are not.

Excellent smart home security solution

We've had a problem with packages being stolen off of our front porch so I wanted to try one of the next-generation home security devices. I positioned one of the cameras over our front entry and the other camera monitors our lower-level living space.
The setup of the device was incredibly easy. We connected it to our home network in minutes. Synching the hub base unit with the cameras was also quick and the system was up and running within 10 minutes.
We've only had the unit for a short time, but we are checking the app constantly. This Pro unit is an upgrade to previous versions and includes 2-way audio capability. We've actually been able to communicate with a FedEx delivery man. I asked him to place the package behind a pillar to hide it from the street view. It freaked him out a bit to hear a voice, but more people are doing it so he said he's getting used to it.
The added benefit in addition to security is knowing what our pets do when we're gone. We find ourselves watching the video of our pets at play while we're gone.
This is a great device - We highly recommend it.

Great machine

We needed a second vacuum since we didn't want to lug our big vacuum down into our basement to clean up after our pets. This Shark bagless stick vacuum is a great solution. It's much more powerful than it appears and has an option for floors or furniture.
The only downside was the container which holds the dirt/debris is a bit small but that's an acceptable tradeoff for the size and convenience of this machine.

A Security System for the digital age

I haven't had a security system for over 20 years. The last one I had needed to be installed by pros and hard-wired throughout the house. It's amazing to see how far security systems have evolved.
SimpliSafe Defend is an elegant solution for home security. Everything you need is in a box. The instructions were very clear. Installation suggestions were included so I didn't have to question where the security points needed to be placed. Connectivity to my home wireless network was fast and easy by way of the App.
The monitoring service fee is offered at a fair price - especially when I consider what I paid for similar service 20+ years ago.
I find myself checking the App constantly just to see what's going on around my home.
SimpliSafe has created a very elegant and easy-to-use system for home security.

Incredibly elegant & functional product

Apple once again leads the way in technology. I was tired of using earbuds with a wired connection. I was a little hesitant about the price, but all I can think of is why did I wait. The AirPods are incredibly simple to use. When you put one AirPod into your ear, it immediately pairs with your phone or other Bluetooth device. You can just use one side or put both in if you are listening to music or watching video.
The storage case is also a charger. When you flip the case open, your phone displays the battery level on each AirPod.
You'll never use a wired connection again! Well done Apple.

Impressive Technology

I had a competitor brand robotic vacuum over the past few years. Over the past year, it seemed to forget how to negotiate around furniture and other obstructions on the floor and didn't do a thorough job of vacuuming the floor. I read some reviews on the Ecovacs and wanted to try it out. There was a definite difference in the quality of this vacuum. It's more solid, more powerful, does a great job of vacuuming both carpet and wood flooring...and is quieter than the competitor brand. The setup with the app was easy. The user experience with the app was intuitive as I didn't need any additional instructions on how to start using the vacuum.
This is a quality device and shows how far robotic vacuums have come.

Solid machine - makes food prep go quickly

Like many people, we're trying to eat better things these days. I'm not very good as a sous chef at it takes me a long time to chop up veggies to prepare for meals. The Phillips Multi Chopper cuts prep time by 90%. Setup is super-quick and you can start chopping in minutes. I find this to be great for onions as it avoids a lot of the hassle when you chop them.
Operation the machine is easy. You just push the food down and it starts. Cleanup was also very easy and it looks great on your counter or can store in a small space in a cabinet.

I have a problem with many cords for Apple products since our cat often mistakes them for string and wants to play with them. I was looking for a durable cable and I found it with the Belkin Apple Watch Duratek Cable. Since it's made with Kevlar, it's incredibly durable and won't be mistaken for string.
I was impressed with the quality of the cable as well as the specifications. Belkin has upped their game with this accessory including the packaging of the cable. Highly-recommended!

You will need to find a solution for Internet connectivity before you purchase and install this device. It will work with cable modems or DSL.
